Retrospect just chopped my f****** arm off
I woke up this morning with only one arm
My dad's going nuclear and my sister screamed when she saw me
What the hell am I supposed to do now

Before anyone asks no I don't need to go to the hospital I already got it looked at
But consider this a PSA start sleeping with one eye open
In case retrospect comes for you in the middle of the night with a f****** hatchet

Anyway this means A Lyrical Assassination is going on indefinite hiatus
I never got around to finishing it but here's what I managed to put together for the new album before retrospect decided to rip my arm off
Enjoy it because it's the last music I ever made

[ He's sure James will be repeating details from his doctor's appointment to people until he wishes he had info cards to hand out. So he opts to skip it. The kid needs support, not a grilling. ]

Need an adult to talk your to your dad? I don't know what explanation you've tried to give your family but I know parents don't often do too well listening to their own children when they're feeling upset and extra protective.

Like it even matters
There's nothing anyone can say that would explain how I went from having two arms last night to having a fully recovered amputated stump today

I only ask what explanation you gave for the sake of consistency.
What your father wants to hear is that something is going to be done about this. I can't tell him about Retrospec but I can tell him that those responsible are under investigation and they will be held accountable for what they've done in the end.
Is that a lie? Depends on how you look at it. There really is an investigation. I can't guarantee that we will find a way to overpower Retrospec.
But it's better than him calling up other non app users and making a fuss over something he cannot grasp in his current position.

I'm assuming you've had friends and a few professionals offer to sit down with you if you need it.
Your family might need it as well. If your father doesn't cool down even a little in the next month he needs to talk to someone.
When I lost my sight my father took it harder than I did. He tried to hide it but I overheard enough phone calls to tell.
It might be the same for your father.

It's only been a few hours since he found out so I don't know if he's angry like normal angry for this level of b******* or if he's angry like unhealthy angry

It could be either. Best to give it time. Hopefully that won't be the case.
How is the rest of your family holding up? Your sister?

[ Matt frowns down at his desk. Fear might be the worst reaction you can get from others after your body was changed against your will. Thankfully rare. James' sister was shocked, to be fair. Context doesn't prevent the stab in your chest when their reaction hits you though. ]

If you're frustrated with her that's understandable. You'll both calm down later but if you feel some kind of anger over her reaction it's better to acknowledge now. Just obviously don't take it out on her. On that note have you found a way to blow off some steam?

It's one of the more embarrassing options but it worked while I was in the hospital: burying your face in something and screaming.

There are more than enough punching bags at the gym I go to. I think I could talk the owner into letting you in. Sometimes I slip him a little extra money and go in after hours to avoid the ego maniacs who like to hang out in that part of the building. That's also an option if you would rather fewer people be around when you let off steam.
