Shall We Play A Game?

Hello, everyone! My, this is suddenly a lot more intimidating when you're the one posting out for everyone to see! (^u^;)

I'm sure by now everyone's become familiar with the trick-or-treat function that was added in this month. While the game of collecting virtual candies is fun in and of itself, I couldn't help but find it a little boring. Ah! No offense meant of course to any Retrospec employees who might be reading this. (>_<;)

And so, I've been thinking of ways to make virtual trick or treating a little more interesting. At the same time, I still consider myself fairly new on here, and I'd like to get to know as many of my fellow Retrospec users as possible. So, here is my little deviation I'm proposing -- I'm sure everyone's familiar with the game two truths and a lie?

1. Comment below to either myself, or anyone else who'd like to play, with the function prompter "trick or treat" included to start the round
2. Whoever was asked posts two truths and one lie about themselves
3. If the trick or treater correctly identifies the lie, then they're rewarded with their "treat"
4. If they choose wrong however, then they instead get "trick" but do not select a punishment for the other party; after all, it wouldn't be fair if they get punished for winning the round, would it?
5. Then, the two switch, and it's time for the trick or treater to be prompted and provide two truths and a lie
6. You can keep going for as long as you like! Play as many rounds as you wish!

Now, this obviously entirely voluntary. You're free to participate or ignore as you wish. I simply thought it might be a fun way to enjoy the gathering of these virtual candies. Also, there clearly isn't a system in place to stop anyone from breaking the rules I've suggested above. Consider this entirely on an honor system then. Anyone up to play? ;)

[sure let's hit up this person she doesn't know]

1. I was originally going to major in business before I settled on drama.
2. I used to do gymnastics.
3. I've been to France.

[Best way to play the game, obviously, even if this is a total random guess.]

Mmmm 3? I feel like the more complicated ones are usually the real ones 👍

Dammit. Are you really a drama major, or was the whole thing a lie?

(Also I know she said not to do trick but I think it's really cute, would you be mad if I did it anyway?)

No, that part was for real ⭐

(The rules for this make no sense anyway. You only get candy if you lose, what gives?)

That's cool! Way more exciting than business, anyway.

(Well, it's more than Joanne gave us! Plus it's not like the candy really does anything. (that we know of. if it turns out to give us powers like bingo did I'll care more.))

Do you want to try?

⬆ this girl(?) gets it

"Business jobs are more reliable" Yeah, but how about: I'd sooner eat these weird knives retrospec sent me before I'd spend every day stuffed up in an office.

[please don't vent your issues with your family onto an internet stranger, Arlene]

Anyway trick or treat.

Haha, girl, yes.

And I don't think it's a bad thing to study what you want to do! What's the point in spending all this time working on something that you know won't make you happy? (But also please don't eat weird Retrospec knives, that seems unsafe)

Here's mine:
1. I'm named after the god of luck and/or thunder.
2. I was a superhero in my hallucinomemories.
3. I've never had a peanut butter sandwich.

1 because isn't that Thor? Or like, Zeus.

PB&J is kind of boring. You aren't missing much.

Hee, sorry! They think Tuuri = our pronunciation of Thor. Or a totally unrelated luck god. Or both. It's a mystery.

I'm allergic, but it never seemed like a big deal.

So you got a guy name and they're not even sure which guy. Nice.

Yeah but I'm just not a peanut girl 🤷 Maybe somebody else can tell you how it's ruining your life

Hahaha yeah, I guess it sounds kind of weird when you say it like that.

I mean the other day I couldn't buy a cupcake because the cashier wasn't sure about cross contamination? That ruined my life a little bit.

Also I think it goes without saying but I wasn't a superhero, btw. I didn't have anything interesting going on.

the weekends haven't been a great time for tagging sorry

Anything that you *remember* yet.
skald: (kaksikymmentäkolme)

no worries!

Haha I definitely remember hallucino-Tuuri complaining about how nothing exciting happens to her

It's boring all the way down!
