video; hey so (forward dated to 18th ish)
Seto Kaiba shared a video.
18 October 2017 near Enprise
[ guess what!
the video opens with a nondescript table and two chairs that's been set up, before Kaiba walks into the frame. There's a hum of something activating, the soft flare of multicoloured lights, and Kaiba pulls out a very familiar looking card before he kind of
dramatically slams it down onto the table
because he's extra like that
but anyway, soon after, what happens is a projection of a familiar looking dragon as in the opening cover image of this video, which roars loud enough that if you're wearing earphones you probably would have gotten an earful. and then it continues with Kaiba speaking once the roar has died down-- ]
I made sure it's actually a hologram. [ and to verify, he's going to swipe his hand through the projection and watch it go completely through before it winks out of existence and the entire system shuts down.
and then he'll turn and face the audience, looking tired. he looks like he hasn't slept in a while. ]
I know how Retrospec did this back in July because it's taken me this long to try and reverse engineer it.
[ and then the video shuts down because he's a dramatic fucker. i'm sorry. ]
[ ooc: forward dating it a little so I can get in some tags on the weekend! please feel free to ask and like. you know. grill him on this. ]

I apparently developed this in my former life - all I've done is merely attempt to recreate it now, since Retrospec has shown that it can be done.

I admit I'm curious as to how you'll use this technology. Nobody's managed holograms like that before.

Card games, as you've seen in the video. Hologram representations of the cards played on the table make the game a lot more realistic.

[ Jack is still salty about the one that nearly killed Katherine smh. ]

so that if it happens again, at least I know how to disable it.
[ technically true. ]

But what makes you think it would even work? Retrospec's always had ways of shutting us down before.

At least now I'm better prepared to do something than I was two months ago when I couldn't make a head or tail of what they were doing.
I'd rather have tried than not at all.

I'm not saying you shouldn't try. And it's good to know, I guess. But if you can’t shut them down when it matters, before those things hurt more people, how’s it help us?
I’m just saying, there’s no telling if you could affect those other ones we saw before just by knowing what they did.

so when can i get one

if you worked for me that wouldn't be an issue
[ kaiba why ]

is that all it takes
okay then
[ what has he done ]

you'd have to give me a pretty damn good reason to hire you, since you're still in high school

anyways, she'll just leave him with a cute little desktop dragon buddy. it moves! it roars! it follows your mouse!! it'll even have her cv, etc, etc but she'll let the program do 90% of the talking for her ]

how long did it take you to do the animations?
Re: private
hm.... not that long? i've done something like this for the holiday tricks so it was more of a tweak than anything too serious.

Are you claiming all the convention monsters were holograms? I recall some of them being quite solid.
