[And about forty five minutes later, Minako is knocking on the door, poking her head in. She's got one of those big reusable bags on her shoulder along with her purse.]

Noah?

[It's a small hospital room, a single person one. Noah's in the hospital bed, sitting up and...looking a lot worse than he's making it sound like on the network. He's got bandages all over his right arm and legs from cuts and burns. The left side of his face is entirely covered up by bandaging and gauze.

He's holding his phone with his red left arm. It looks completely undamaged beyond being its regularly disfigured self. Clearly it's how he's still able to type despite being so injured.

He'll lower the phone when Minako comes in though]

Oh...hey.

[She gives him a small smile, shutting the door behind her.]

Hey. Brought you dinner.

[Questions can wait. She sets her bag down and starts building a mini mountain of burgers and personal pan pizza boxes on his side tray.]

Phew, there we go! Dig in, you must be starving.

[!!!!

The food immediately catches his attention alright. The moment it's all set down, he'll make a happy sounding gasp]

Yeah! I'm fucking starving!

[Now excuse him as he basically INHALES the pile of food]

[She laughs and settles into a seat to wait for him.]

Good thing I brought a lot, then.

[He makes a happy sound of agreement as he eats half of it down. It's almost freakish how fast he eats it, and without choking. Almost like some kind of blackhole superpower thing going on here.

He'll pause about halfway through]

Fuck, this is good.

Compared to hospital food, there's no contest.

[She looks up from her phone, flashing him a smile.]

Sorry I forgot to bring a drink, I wanted to get here as fast as I could.

Tch, their food isn't that bad. They just don't give nearly enough.

[Though Noah is the least picky eater ever...so yeah]

That's fine. I got water. [He'll nod towards a cup of it before he starts choewing down more.]

[She huffs out a little breath of amusement. As soon as he's done eating, though, she'll set her phone aside and curl up in the chair to get comfy.]

So...can I ask? Do you want to talk about this?

[She gestures over her body to mirror where he's been bandaged up.]

[There's a pause as him as he wipes his face with a napkin, then a longer pause after that]

I was heading home from work, when I saw someone getting attacked by a fog monster.

Decided to jump in and help out, but ... he was way faster and stronger than I was.

Oh Noah...

[She bites her lip and grips her hands together. She's not without her own nasty scars from the whole ordeal, but she's not nearly as mangled up as Noah is. Why do these things keep happening to him?]

God. That's so terrible...I'm so glad you're still alive, though.

[Idk. It's like he's the main protagonist to a depressing manga or something]

Yeah...I got lucky.

[He worries his lip and looks down a little. He remembers how close a call it was, how terrified]

Yu showed up and healed me. Apparently he has a fucking dragon.

[Sucks to be him.]

Kohryu. [Thank god Yu was there. But he clearly wasn't able to heal all of it. She tries for a bit of levity and gives him a small smile.] And he's not the only one.

Yeah, that one. [He'll turn his head to look.....]

Seriously? How many people got dragons?

[WHY DON'T I GET A DRAGON???]

I did say there were fourteen of us. Who knows who else might have a dragon.

[And then her smile gets a little tired.]

Hopefully you'll be released from the hospital soon. Then we can go for a fly around the city?

.....You mean on your own dragon, don't you?
