Well. Unless someone else has gotten an entire house from Retrospec, I rather think I win. In bragging rights, if nothing else.
Rosalind Lutece shared a photo.
11/10 near Viea Village
[There's a pause, and then Rosalind adds a few photos: these ones, specifically, that I'll link so I don't spam yall. also ETA: there's no wires or pipes and certainly no giant machine in the midst of all this; it's just an ordinary house. ...with a giant hole in the second floor.]
That being said: points off for the giant gaping hole in the second floor.

"You're lucky", as if you wouldn't be devastated if I broke a leg thanks to you not wanting to fix things.

I'm doing this gratis, you know.

And no. I'm not. You take well to orders; why shouldn't I boss you?

I'm perfectly capable of flat-out ditching this favor because you're particularly full of yourself today.

Name your price. Perhaps I'll throw dinner in as well.
no subject
Fine.
The old hourly price with dinner.

Call me before you leave the station; I'll be in and out of the house.

Yeah, yeah.
Give me a few hours.
[ And a few hours it is! Booker gets his work done and begrudgingly puts on his coat and hat, making way to his car. He calls Rosalind as promised, and it's only a few minutes before he arrives at the address she sent.
And when he walks to the front steps, he stops. His eyes glance up and down the door -- Lutece Laboratory.
It's not the name that has him feeling a bit off. But it goes as quickly as it comes, and he shakes his head before walking up to the door and knocking. ]

Hello, Booker.
[She shifts, letting him in. It's an odd amalgam of new and old in her home: there's a few things from her apartment he'll recognize, but the majority of the furniture here came with the house, and has an oddly new feeling.
And boy, that sure is a giant hole in the ceiling, isn't it? Damn.]

[ Booker greets her as always, a nod of his head and a friendly, gentle pat on her shoulder. Even if she's insufferable, she's still a respected friend. He takes his jacket off, walking in to the smell of a hot meal wafting through a ornately decorated hallway. ]
Christ, it looks even more ritzy than the pictures.
[ He looks around, getting a good look at everything until he stops beneath the giant hole in the ceiling. His eyes narrow and his lips purse. ]
Any idea how the hell this happened?

. . . it was a machine of mine, I believe. I don't remember what it looked like, but I remember seeing it from the bedroom.

A machine for what?

[She says it too quickly, though. For a moment she looks as though she's going to say something, and then she shakes her head.]
In any case. Come along, I'll show you the rest of the house.
