So we're doing this unit on advertising in English class, right? And we watched all these super-old commercials and talked about them and stuff. The point is, now I kinda have this stuck in my head.

Questions:
-How do I get it out of my head?
-How'd they make the kids get lifted by the invisible guy when CGI wasn't invented in the sixties? Wires? Blue screen, except for black-and-white somehow? Retrospec? I don't get it.
-Are oats even a good source of protein? I thought that was, like, meat and peanuts and stuff, and grains were for carbohydrates or something.

Sorry to ask, but this is really bothering me. At least it's not like those creepy burger ads with the plastic-face king.

They don't really need it when they can just make you download their product.

I still don't get how that works. Didn't people throw screaming fits when they so much as got a free album back in the day on iTunes because everybody got it?

U2 is way more respectable than Retrospec. And albums are way more harmless than this nonsense.

Pretty much. That's marketing for you. They have some annoying but effective effective methods up their sleeve.

Among other things. And I liked that album once I got over how weird it was that it just suddenly was on my phone.

So... annoying works the best. That sounds like the opposite of making sense.

It does huh? Corporations will do what they will to sell their products.

Or just give them to you randomly, but Retrospec never makes sense.

Yeah what is Retrospec? Are they promoting a product? Are they providing a service? No idea what their mission statement is.

I guess I just try to be easygoing most of the time!

"Retrospec: We make your life really, really confusing."

"Retrospec: Want to live a normal life? Well too bad!"

"Retrospec: We accidentally stole half the colours one time."

"Retrospec: You don't have a clue what we're doing and neither do we!"

Truth in advertising, huh?

Now if only Retrospec would practice that.

There are some laws about advertisements and how much they can exaggerate but Retrospec is out of the law's reach apparently.
