So we're doing this unit on advertising in English class, right? And we watched all these super-old commercials and talked about them and stuff. The point is, now I kinda have this stuck in my head.

Questions:
-How do I get it out of my head?
-How'd they make the kids get lifted by the invisible guy when CGI wasn't invented in the sixties? Wires? Blue screen, except for black-and-white somehow? Retrospec? I don't get it.
-Are oats even a good source of protein? I thought that was, like, meat and peanuts and stuff, and grains were for carbohydrates or something.

Sorry to ask, but this is really bothering me. At least it's not like those creepy burger ads with the plastic-face king.

I have no idea why it has three syllables. Maybe they do that in Commercial Scotland where invisible buff guys lift you.

Wait, I guess we're already somewhere that people could be invisible or super strong anyway, huh.

The true tragedy of that pronunciation is that it doesn't even help it scan all that much. And they pronounce it the same way while speaking... Perhaps it's a regional thing, but still, you'd think this had to get by several people...

And honestly, the less I try to think about the bizarre foray into fictional reality that is Retrospec, apparently, the better.

Maybe it's because it's supposed to be all stereotype Scotland for some reason. Actually, that kind of just raises more questions.

Yeah. I mean, we're on it and all, and there's not much else to do. I haven't gotten any texts or emails from out of town in a while. I mean, I have to admit that I wasn't getting very many before, but it kind of emphasizes it or something?

Does it? I suppose I don't have enough friends from out of the city to really notice much of a difference - born and raised here and all.

Maybe. It's probably just, I dunno, me being super paranoid. I haven't even remembered anything huge yet, just little things that don't make any sense. Someone said that was normal, though.

I'd certainly hope so, because I'm in a similar situation myself.
