Hello! First of all, Maurice would like me to tell you all that he's locking anyone who messes about with putting dangerous things in the mailbox to send to him which don't belong for at least a week (please don't send him dangerous things!!!!) and would like me to remind you it's for things you got sent only, please! Secondly, we've managed to fix one of the colors entirely, although one is still on the fritz. We'll keep working on it! By the way, is anyone going to do secret Santa games? I always like those, although I've only ever done them with other employees. Last year I got Ronnie. He's soooo hard to shop for but I think he liked the cane I got him? And Mr. Baroque got me! I'm not really sure he knows how to shop for girls. Or people who don't only want weapons. But the thought is what counts! Joanne Wiseman Technician 2nd class Retr spec IncorporatedAs of this post: •Clothing and personal items have now regained the color green! This includes all items your character had in their AU plus any regains your character has obtained. However, this does not include physical features. •Additionally, all flora and fauna have regained the color green. •Blue eyes and hair have been restored, meaning blue is entirely back! •Horses begin appearing in history texts, books, and academia, often phrased as being newly discovered from the past. Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. |

forget someone that's hard to shop for.
i don't want to get somebody that'll send me something explosive or with a lot of teeth.

i'm kind of relieved

i might be working on a robot-sumo project with my engineering group for funsies, but that's like.
under my control. retrospec presents are not appreciated after i nearly died last month.

it's like robot wars. but the goal is for the robot to find its opponent on its own, usually via infrared or ultrasonic scanners and a whole hell of a lot of programming.
instead of you like, using a controller.
me almost dying?
not really. wounds are scarring up.

as long as you aren't killing each other or destroying the dorm
this retrospec thing is getting scarier by the day...

and the engineering labs have seen worse than robots flinging one another around.
there's a lot of shit that's happened.
you want a catchup, i've got a good rundown going.

i'm more inclined to trust you over retrospec by at least 10000%, hasumi. ☆
even if it's for a holiday i don't really celebrate that much.

mostly atheist i guess?
i celebrated growing up, but mostly before i was adopted, since i grew up in a buddhist household afterwards.

That's a shame. It would have been nice to share a religion with more people. not that i'm very involved myself...
It's just one of those things, I suppose.

man i don't know. most things i want are the big bucks.
obscure books? junk?
stupid nerdy knickknacks and useless mechanical junk i can repurpose are good, cheap gifts for a secret santa, i guess.
no subject
What kind of obscure books do you read?
[ innocent questions.... ]

but one of my favorite fiction books that isn't like, mainstream and well-known, is the chrysalids by john wyndham.
comparative to 1984, i guess.
and i read a lot of autobiographies and history books that aren't written by crusty old white dudes that are balls out expensive since they're swept under the rug by said crusty old white dudes..

Holy shit.
Can computers even get that expensive?
I guess I can keep an eye out and see if I find it.
The holidays are coming up, after all.
no subject
you don't have to worry about it, kaz.
christmas has never been a big deal to me.
most holidays aren't? except halloween, because birthday holiday and so much candy.
