I'm sorry, but I can't accept that. If the divisions are early, mid, and late, then each should last a comparable amount of time.

I was going to make it just 15 but some months have 31 or 28 and sometimes 29 day's so 14-16

But you can always divide a month into smaller and smaller segments, so in that case, why choose individual days? Why not make it the hour or minute that is closest to the middle?
