Hello! First of all, Maurice would like me to tell you all that he's locking anyone who messes about with putting dangerous things in the mailbox to send to him which don't belong for at least a week (please don't send him dangerous things!!!!) and would like me to remind you it's for things you got sent only, please!

Secondly, we've managed to fix one of the colors entirely, although one is still on the fritz. We'll keep working on it!

By the way, is anyone going to do secret Santa games? I always like those, although I've only ever done them with other employees. Last year I got Ronnie. He's soooo hard to shop for but I think he liked the cane I got him? And Mr. Baroque got me! I'm not really sure he knows how to shop for girls. Or people who don't only want weapons. But the thought is what counts!

As of this post:
•Clothing and personal items have now regained the color green! This includes all items your character had in their AU plus any regains your character has obtained. However, this does not include physical features.
•Additionally, all flora and fauna have regained the color green.
•Blue eyes and hair have been restored, meaning blue is entirely back!
•Horses begin appearing in history texts, books, and academia, often phrased as being newly discovered from the past.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently.

I guess that's true. They must have known at least one of us would try it.

They seem prepared with some of this at least. Even if I gather some of this catches even these guys by surprise.

Oh, I'm sure there's no way they'd be able to predict everything, even if they do have a better understanding of everything that's occurring. It's one thing to be aware that people will likely tamper with things; another to realize just to what lengths they will go.

Some of us seem pretty pissed with these guys. But yeah. I guess we'll see if anyone tries again with messing with the mailboxes.

If they do, at least it might help give us more information on how Retrospec reacts.

I don't know if I want to volunteer myself on this or not. But you're right. The more we learn about these guys and how they work, the better chance we have of stopping them or figuring how to delete the app or something.

[personal profile] saburai 2017-11-18 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
If you don't want to volunteer, you needn't do so. I'm sure there will be plenty of people making the attempt regardless. We can learn from their actions.

Well, sure. But I wanna help.
If I can, somehow.

Observing what happens would be another way of contributing to that same cause, I imagine.

But in general, it seems that there are groups of people who are investigating the history of Retrospec in the hopes of learning something. That may be something else one could do?
dejerate: (Don't take all the weight)

[personal profile] dejerate 2017-11-18 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sure anything really helpful or important is probably 'classified' or something but. I can try help have a look. The more people working on learning more, the more likely we are to gather more info between all of us, right?

[personal profile] saburai 2017-11-18 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm sure it's incredibly difficult to find out much in the way of information. Retrospec seems to keep most of their office (or former office) locked down. But I agree with your logic: the more people who are making the attempt, the more chances we have of successfully finding something.
dejerate: (I'm always ready for a fight)

[personal profile] dejerate 2017-11-19 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
So we just bust into the office.
Or sneak in -- wait. You said 'former'.

[Yuu don't speak so casually about bringing up the idea of breaking and entering. Let alone somewhere the staff can probably monitor and see......]

Yes. The Retrospec building appears to be one of the ones that has disappeared this month. Though from what I've heard, it wasn't that easy to get in even when it was around.
dejerate: (Before you)

[personal profile] dejerate 2017-11-20 10:22 am (UTC)(link)
Course it wasn't. That'd be too easy and convenient, right?
saburai: (ashamed ♙ courtesy and honor)

[personal profile] saburai 2017-11-21 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed. It sounds like everything was locked down tightly, so much so that they did not feel the need to have any security measures against would-be trespassers.
dejerate: (Me realize)

[personal profile] dejerate 2017-11-22 10:10 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know if that's impressive or concerning. That they felt that damned confident and cocky about it.
Just makes this all the more obvious that we gotta find out more somehow.
saburai: (factual ♙ to hold in esteem human)

[personal profile] saburai 2017-11-24 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Certainly. We can only continue to try to find a way to gather information, and hope for the best.
dejerate: (We were all swept away)

[personal profile] dejerate 2017-11-25 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
Frustrating but. I guess you aren't wrong. At least, until we figure more information to go on about how all this works, exactly. There's still a lot I at least need to figure,
being newer to all this too.
saburai: (thoughtful ♙ and through correct and)

[personal profile] saburai 2017-11-25 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
In my experience, most people are fairly welcoming to newcomers, so I am sure that you can find people willing to share the information they have with you. That will at least be a start.
dejerate: (A chance)

[personal profile] dejerate 2017-11-26 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
It would. Be nice if we had more to go off of from the start with this app explaining what it actually does and letting us decide for ourselves if we want it in the first place but.

Not like we have a choice, so.
saburai: (serious ♙ to mold the mind and body)

[personal profile] saburai 2017-11-26 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I certainly don't anticipate anything of the sort happening anytime soon, unfortunately.
dejerate: (March on)

[personal profile] dejerate 2017-11-28 09:23 am (UTC)(link)
But if we figured out how this works with the app,
how we get it in the first place or how some of us forget about it? Or whatever it is with some people not having it anymore, then we could control it. Could choose to keep dealing with it or not.
saburai: (serious ♙ to mold the mind and body)

[personal profile] saburai 2017-11-29 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Assuming that it's something we could affect, of course. Understanding does not necessarily mean we can control it.
dejerate: (The death)

[personal profile] dejerate 2017-11-30 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
True. Obviously controlling it would be the goal. I know that might take longer, even if we figuring the theory behind how this works or whatever, somehow.
