so about those physical changes
we all know they're a thing and they said something about this being some crap with souls and yadda yadda
but how can you tell for sure a change is retrospec's bullshit?
i'm not talking about your eyes turning pink overnight or growing a third arm or cat ears or what have you
i mean more like... when you wake up and discover a tattoo or two on you that sure as hell weren't there yesterday
and a piercing too
how do you know this is caused by retrospec and not because you got wasted last night and might have done some dumb shit on the way home (that you don't exactly remember anyway)?

metaphorically speaking ofc

The skin around a brand-new tattoo is likely to be sore and tender, with some irritation and bleeding. There may also be itching, oozing, or swelling. Piercings are less traumatic, but some soreness or discomfort would still be expected with one that's less than a day old.

So, metaphorically speaking, I would check the physical evidence.

I'm glad we were able to figure it out!

Metaphorically, etc.

Oh, my pleasure.
If anyone were actually dealing with a situation like this, I'd wish them luck!
