Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Less than two hundred invitations have gone out, and membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options. Anyway, now that the copypaste part is out of the way! Jim here, requesting you guys make your secret meetings a little more exciting. It's not like you're not trying with the whole "let's meet off the network!" dealio, but I have some serious concerns. For one thing, no secret handshakes or phrases? Not even dramatic meeting locations? The trying rating is about half a star if that. And I'm almost bored to tears with the whole back and forth about what's going on. Not bored enough to give you a cheat sheet, but still. I can't get myself taken off surveillance duty, so at least try to make it a little more exciting! You guys might like this wikihow. Later! Jim Halloway Research & Development Retr ![]() Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Characters who have been in game for more than one month will find they can change their profile pictures; newcomers are locked into their first choice. At various points throughout the day users will be sent images of themselves from behind, regardless of where they are. There doesn't seem to be any way to catch whoever might be taking and sending these, however, especially since being alone in a room doesn't seem to be a deterrent. This post is an overflow from the original post here. Feel free to either carry over threads from there or create entirely new ones. |

If us being boring gets you taken off surveillance duty, then you should know today is laundry day and I'm spending an hour folding socks soon.
[In her "memories" she'd recalled the other girl she was seeing the life of stating she wanted to protect everyone's smiles.
But you, Jim?
She'll make an exception for yours.]
Also, I'm 17. Stop it. That's creepy.
[OOC: Previous thread! New threads welcome, will be adding in overflow from the previous post here a little later on.]
Levy
Oh, sure! [She just hopes that not as many people got tangled up as many times as her.] It just doesn't help that resounding feeling that someone's out to get us.
...which might be the last thing you wanna hear first coming in here,
but, uh. Forewarned is forearmed...? (/^▽^)/

Also: fruits with faces used to not have faces???
I still can't eat them anymore.

I actually just got a picture taken of the back of my head from where I was sitting so I'm not sure the blinds are gonna help much in terms of peace of mind. ( ゚д゚)

I mean, I guess that's one way of looking at it.
Actually, I can go with that, maybe it'll help me sleep better.

Alicia the first
Making Alicia boring would be REALLY hard!
But no one wants to spy in on a study session, either.
no subject
I don't know, it might depend on what we're studying? Perhaps Jim is studying for his certifications and wants to watch someone else suffer the same.

Mainly, it was horses being turned into chocobos and no one but those of us with the app knowing that horses even ever existed! There was also the weird, empty Retrospec building... and they also passed out mood changing necklaces we couldn't get rid of.
Because they'd just teleport back to us.
That was the start of it, anyway.
[Also the killer ball of yarn, but that may or may not be Retrospec's fault.]

o..h...
oh god
we're doomed

Oh, it's really concerning! I didn't want to come out of the house for days!
But, like. It's just an example of the fact that it seems like there's nothing we can ACTUALLY do to escape these people.
Which is, yeah. PRETTY TERRIFYING, ACTUALLY.
no subject
So I wouldn't advice doing that.

It must be pretty hard, no one's been able to get far in there so far.
Elda
Oh, for sure. People without the app don't know that chocobos used to be horses, for instance, or didn't have all their personal secrets spread over the city a couple months ago.

Ohhh, well. That makes sense! You've just never really struck me as the jokey type.

The post I made about all this had people thinking I was serious so I guess you're not the only one who thinks it's weird for me.

Well, sure! But the app will pop up the moment you touch your computer or phone or whatever. You can dismiss it... and sometimes stupid things will happen with it that force you to look at it...
But mostly, yeah, you can!
no subject
How often does it force you?
