Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Less than two hundred invitations have gone out, and membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options. Anyway, now that the copypaste part is out of the way! Jim here, requesting you guys make your secret meetings a little more exciting. It's not like you're not trying with the whole "let's meet off the network!" dealio, but I have some serious concerns. For one thing, no secret handshakes or phrases? Not even dramatic meeting locations? The trying rating is about half a star if that. And I'm almost bored to tears with the whole back and forth about what's going on. Not bored enough to give you a cheat sheet, but still. I can't get myself taken off surveillance duty, so at least try to make it a little more exciting! You guys might like this wikihow. Later! Jim Halloway Research & Development Retr ![]() Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Characters who have been in game for more than one month will find they can change their profile pictures; newcomers are locked into their first choice. At various points throughout the day users will be sent images of themselves from behind, regardless of where they are. There doesn't seem to be any way to catch whoever might be taking and sending these, however, especially since being alone in a room doesn't seem to be a deterrent. This post is an overflow from the original post here. Feel free to either carry over threads from there or create entirely new ones. |

Chloe Bouchard It looks like a few of the harlequins I have at home.
Chloe Bouchard And they are not terrible!
[They totally are. She's in denial on the subject.]

Chloe Bouchard They once made me read something about a badge of courage.
Chloe Bouchard The most boring book I ever read in my life, other than the one about bunnies.
no subject
Kit Fawkes What one about bunnies? I can think of a few.
Kit Fawkes ...Was the rabbit a vampire by any chance?
no subject
Chloe Bouchard No, it was something about rabbits on a journey to find a new home.
Chloe Bouchard I was never able to get into it, no matter how much of a triumph people said it was.

Kit Fawkes "All the world will be your enemy, Prince With A Thousand Enemies, and when they catch you they will kill you...but first they must catch you."
Kit Fawkes Words to live by.

Chloe Bouchard I think I understood what the writer wanted to do, by using something new as a setting for their narrative.
Chloe Bouchard But it was too complicated for me to put together, especially as a non-native speaker when I read it.

Kit Fawkes Speaking as someone who once tried to read "The Little Prince" in its original French.
Kit Fawkes (I don't speak French.)
no subject
Chloe Bouchard In reverse, in fact, given that I am originally from France and did quite love that book.
Chloe Bouchard Ah, but we seem to have veered into more pleasant topics than before, no?
no subject
Kit Fawkes I'm most fond of the chapter about the prince and the fox.
Kit Fawkes I suppose that's an amusing coincidence, isn't it.
no subject
Chloe Bouchard I am not quite sure of the coincidence here, unless we are both foxes who do not wish them to tame us.
no subject
Kit Fawkes What a coincidence that it'd be my favorite, given that.
no subject
Chloe Bouchard But yes, I suppose that is a little bit of a coincidence.
Chloe Bouchard So, what do you read most often, since it is clearly not the trashy romances I adore.

hee!
Chloe Bouchard It's nice to meet you, and yes I love harlequins!
Chloe Bouchard I am a bit of a romance nut, I fear, much to my single friends' chagrin.

Fiacre Lachance I love Harlequins too! I buy any I can find when I go to used book shops (◠‿◠✿)
Fiacre Lachance ...which a grown man should probably not admit, but w/e
no subject
Chloe Bouchard And I hardly think there is anything wrong with a grown man admitting this, since they are for adults anyway.
Chloe Bouchard I imagine we must frequent some of the same second hand shops.
no subject
Fiacre Lachance Do you mind me asking how long ago your family came from France? Your name is very distinctive!
no subject
Chloe Bouchard And my family has not come here. I moved on a student visa and gained citizenship afterwards to study at college.
Chloe Bouchard I hope to help my mother move here one day.
no subject
Fiacre Lachance I came over quite a bit longer ago. What did you come here to study?
no subject
Chloe Bouchard I wish to become a business owner in the long run.
Chloe Bouchard I am hoping to start a florist shop of my own when I do.
no subject
Fiacre Lachance I wish you lots of luck! Let me know when you get your shop started and I'll make sure to stop by!
no subject
Chloe Bouchard It's a lovely shop, and I would like to make a branch of it or perhaps a supply store.
Chloe Bouchard But I have to finish college first, obviously.
no subject
Fiacre Lachance There's nothing better than fresh flowers to brighten up a room, after all!
Fiacre Lachance What year are you at the university?
no subject
Chloe Bouchard I took a year after Lycee to settle my affairs and be ready for school.
Chloe Bouchard But I've finished my tests now and will be in school this fall.
