Hey, Users! This month's wikihow is right over here. In other news, don't you just love our logo colors? Such a nice shade of blue. I'm pretty fond of it myself! You know, Janet has blue eyes. But then, I guess you guys don't know anyone with eyes that color anymore, right? Whoops.

Anyway, see you next month! Well, some of you anyway. :)

As discussed on the monthly plot post the colors blue and green are now gray - except for the blue on the retrospec application logo and their building sign, although no NPC will be capable of seeing the color in these places. As stated in the plot post, NPCs will also seem to be completely unaware that the colors blue and green ever existed. Oops.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Last's month's application round characters are now capable of changing their profile pictures.

Clearly, he has his priorities, which involves researching and developing new ways to laugh at us each month.

Oh, I'm not about to argue that much. At the same time, this hasn't crossed any more of a line than anything else that's been done to us; loss of visible color is hardly the end of the world.

And besides, as someone who saw nothing wrong with the changes to the world until last month, I almost appreciate the fact that I find this one odd from the start.

Provided it is not affecting the chlorophyll in plants. I'm going to be watching the plants at the florist's to be sure if they wither faster. If just the color, then it is simply aesthetics, but implies they could do much much worse.

...yes. I suppose there's that. I feel very sorry for my employer. He used to remember horses, once.

Perhaps he'll come around eventually; again, I didn't remember horses for a while, either. Things change.

That said, though, the incident last month is more than proof enough that they can do whatever they want to us - far worse than this is certainly possible. I don't know that the outrage everyone is showing is going to do us any favors, however; given the maturity level our friend at the company seems to enjoy putting on full display, I wouldn't be surprised if this is only encouraging him to continue smashing his toys together as he sees fit.

We hope for the best.

And it almost certainly encourages him, though his tone previously seems to say that if we do not scream at him, he gets bored and bad things happen. I suspect that basing our choices around appeasing him will be as fruitless as trying to reason with him.

Oh, I have no doubt that reasoning with someone like that is utterly out of the question. The only thing that can defeat power like that is more power, I imagine... And that's power we don't have, for the time being.

All of this really is unfortunate, though, seeing as it's more of a situation than anything that can be resolved.

For the time being, and I don't care if he knows we think that way.

Apparently. I'm not exactly sure what we can do to change the colors back. This is hardly a cartoon where one could throw colored sprinkles at the air to make the gray go away. Hopefully, if we find a way of toppling them, we also find the source of their power.

How much do you adhere to the theories that have been posited on the network before?

[...Which, seeing as how they were posted to the network in a sort of "good hustle, everyone" move, presumably Jim already knows about.]
true_noir: (Cloak9)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-06-02 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on the theory. The answer is mostly the same. "This might be correct, but so might a wizard putting us all into a magical sleep, waiting for our dream prince to wake us with a kiss." We don't know enough to decide what is or is not happening.

So, until we know, it's theories. Fair ones, but just guesses. And none of them are ones I'm comfortable with, so I won't say yes or no until we're sure.

I won't say I'm comfortable with any of them either, though I'm entirely willing to believe that they aren't as infallible as they seem to be as of now.

Perhaps even that much is granting more credit than is due somewhere, or less than is due elsewhere. Either way, it's better than simply choosing to remain disturbed by all of this and wait around for the next change to hit.

I am almost 100% certain that they are not entirely infallible. They simply control what we know, which is how they appear so.

I am done waiting around. They've taken too much from me. I don't want them to take more.

Are you referring to these "memories" of ours, or something else...?
true_noir: (Cloak5)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-06-04 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Hallucinomemories or hallucinations, but yes. I don't like thinking of them as memories.

...I have yet to receive any, so I can't say I would know one way or another.

[...I mean, that's going to change in a few hours and then he will be 100% on board with those not being memories, but details.]

Consider yourself fortunate, though I don't believe I know of more than one or two who have gone for more than a month without at least one. Consider it a fair warning.

And you can consider the warning appreciated; I'll be sure to bear that in mind.

I haven't had it terribly long, no, that much is entirely true.

I'll bear that in mind, however.

It was good to meet you, regardless of the circumstances. Perhaps we can speak again later.

my apologies for the delay, btw, it has been a...really rough several days

[personal profile] manufactured 2017-06-14 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
...I'd appreciate that.

Consider the sentiment returned.
