Is anyone else having trouble getting a hold of people outside the city? I've been trying to reach my relatives and friends back home, but it's getting harder and harder to get anything through and I can't figure out why.

At this rate I might be stuck in town for Thanksgiving. I hope everything's alright.

Oh. And does anyone want macarons? I was learning how to make them and I made way too many.

There's a waffle place instead.
And I heard a bunch of businesses went missing?
Though I didn't notice that, I'm still too new to the city to know of those place.

it was in a contract.

there were four founders of the retrospec project (clarence vanderweele, georgia mahoney, phillip spinnato and myrtle cavendish) agreed to save worlds all over the universe that are being destroyed. how, i don’t think anyone knows yet, and what it is that’s destroying them is still in the air. i’m guessing it has something to do with what happened in august.

they made rescue teams and collected “seeds” that were brought back with them to a safe haven to preserve the destroyed world somehow while they build up a new universe. with what the last employee post said and what other people found: those seeds have something to do with memories, and the safe haven is recollé.

something went wrong between two of the four founders decades ago.

vanderweele and his wife were involved in murdering spinnato’s four kids.

there was a letter on one of the desks for vanderweele that implied he destroyed the family line to save himself. he got kicked off the program and taken somewhere else for his sentence, but there’re no records of it ever happening. not like his wife, who got the death sentence.

Okay, that's really bad.

Why would murdering kids save himself? And where would he have gone? And why the different sentences?

“we started this program to save worlds, not yourself” was something they said. it has to do with the spinnato family line, they were probably the ones that would keep this program going when phillip died. i’m pretty sure vanderweele wanted to end it.

i wish i knew for sure, though. it feels like he was supposed to get a sentence but never did. or, those are hidden somewhere too. i’m wondering if he ever actually died in the first place.

Oh. I wonder why he wanted to end it...

If he's still alive...he could be behind some of the stuff that's been happening.
