So. Question for everyone. Uh, these regains. I was told some could be pretty heavy or whatever but. A virus killing off anyone over thirteen, and vampires taking over? That seems pretty huge. Not sure if anyone else has a memory like that but. This was already annoying enough. Remembering meeting that blonde haired brat at the orphanage, and everything else with this damned thing. And I've only had this what? Not quite a month yet. I don't want to be remembering some virus killing everyone on Christmas, but now I sure won't get that out of my head.

Every time I see these damned decorations now I'm going to remember that. Shit. The hell does anyone actually adjust to dealing with this stuff? Do you ever? Or is it still just insane?

But that kind of sucks. I don't know much about adjusting because I'm still rather new myself, but finding someone you trust to talk about it probably helps!

I don't know if I would say it gets easier. Having people to talk to does help, though it's understandable if no one in your immediate circle is someone you would turn to - whether due to a lack of any experience with this sort of thing, or just not wanting to speak of things like that with them. There are only so many things one can tell their friends in good conscience, after all.

I do have a fair amount of experience myself with memories regarding viral outbreaks, bioterrorism, and inhuman monsters, should venting be something you're interested in.

I'm still figuring who actually has this app or whatever, being newer to this myself. Pretty sure my foster dad doesn't, so he's out.

I dunno. I mean, how do you talk about this with anyone? Even if you're close and trust them? If whatever other memories I get, if this is any indication, I'd rather not get any more.

Not that those assholes are likely going to care and actually listen.

Yes, seriously. It isn't particularly pleasant to remember, in my experience, and it never really gets moreso, but I assume from the sound of it that you're fairly recent on the app? If that's the case, then eventually it will become slightly easier to talk to others about it, simply due to the nature of interacting with people that are likewise on Retrospec. They're...understanding, at least, and though I'm personally not the sort to trust anyone, they do tend to have useful things to say and are often convenient for discussion of things that we can't bring to anyone off the app in general.

Obviously, I'd also like to not get any further memories like that, but Retrospec hasn't seen fit to stop in my case, either. But the people here have generally made it at least somewhat less hideous in terms of dealing with it.

I just got it recently, yeah. I mean. I guess it's one thing that others are getting back weird memories or whatever but. This seems pretty far out there. I mean I know viruses and illnesses were huge problems centuries ago but not now. This memory still seemed fairly modern? Recent? I dunno. Maybe I'll feel more comfortable with all this after dealing with it a bit.

Or the opposite, if I keep getting memories like this. If this is any indication.

I guess even if there was a list or something that would need to be updated all the time with more of us getting access to this nonsense.

Gonna guess that's why they were taking in us kids that were left. To keep their 'food supply' even if the adults and teenagers were gone.

Or they could just be lying but I'm not sure.

Well, I know I can't question my foster dad about it. He doesn't have the app. Not sure what everyone else is remembering but. I don't wanna unload this on them either. Not on top of whatever they're already dealing with.

I'm not that great with technology but someone else might be able to figure it. Only way to know is to try look into who is on this app and go from there on figuring some sort of pattern. If there is one, I mean.

But coming from someone with a pretty dark memory? I guess it's still insane to me, but there's people on the app who are willing to help others like us through it.

Figured maybe I could be hopeful in asking. For those that have been dealing with this longer than I have.

I dunno if there's much to talk about yet. I'm not even sure what the virus was. Why it only killed the older kids and adults. If any ended up somehow surviving it that were older. Let alone the vampires being added into the mix.
