Has anyone ever tried to talk to family and friends without Retrospect about all the strange things that are happening?

I've tried talking to my sister and parents about it but they don't see anything wrong with all the strange things going on. They just tought all the monsters back in August were completely normal.

I don't remember any monsters...I only got this app recently, but the same thing happened. They think everything here is normal.

I wonder if I made a mistake by telling them.

...All of this is making talking to my sister incredibly difficult nowadays. I was told in advance that she wouldn't know what I was talking about, but I tried it anyway. Predictably, she didn't have any idea.

I mentioned it offhandedly to my mother during Thanksgiving in case she was aware of it but just wasn't active on the network.

No reaction, so I left it at that. Seems like it would be more trouble than it was worth to try to convince anyone.

my boyfriend keeps trying to reach his family and its not going through
his bodyguards dont seem surprised by it either
I know that hes tried asking them about it but they just sort of look at him like the weird things are supposed to be this way

That's how my family looked at me too.

I'm guessing that that was also we used to be before getting the app.

when I got the app my cousin and close friends got it along with me, so I might be an outlier, having all the support from the beginning

...unfortunately, people who are taken off the app react the same way as someone who never got it at all

How do you tell your folks or other relatives about an app that forces you to remember stuff from another person's life without sounding like you joined a crazy cult?

I said that an application had been downloaded on my phone that made me realize things like horses are real and that we can't taste anything and that I might not be my real self.

So, I guess you could say I was honest.

I can't say these strange phenomenon aren't stressful, however.

A bit, yeah. Although I'm guessing that losing our sense of taste isn't the worst thing that has happened.

I don't think it's wise(?) to talk to family about this. It depends on how supportive they are. Or mature.

Pretty sure my baby brother's too young for this.
