Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works! Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem. I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. Forgive me for being a bit skeptical, considering previous events. But you guys reminding us of August proooooobably is just going to end up invoking the same level of shitstorm. Just saying, considering our track record.

There was a retrospec post, yeah, but there was just an error message. Nothing from them until later on after the initial confusion.

But could you still interact with each other on Retrospec? Did messages misfire or get sent to the wrong recipients?

The misfires and wrong recipients was another incident, but there were some people that we couldn't even contact for a brief period of time at first. Any attempts at contacting them were met with a "user does not exist" message, and those without the app didn't even recognize those people when it was brought to their attention.

Even if you approached people who ought to know those who disappeared?

Exactly. You can imagine the panic some people went through as a result until we were able to reestablish contact.

It must have been terrible. And it's likely my students must have been asking me about this before I received Retrospec, and I couldn't answer them.

A good number of my students have had Retrospec before I did.

It wasn't my fault, but I still feel awful about being unable to help them.

Well, you've come to the right place for that much, at least. I've been helping with some self-defense training for not only my boss but a few others as well.

I've been teaching very basic self-defense techniques at Recolle High, as its PE teacher. I also took judo when I was younger.

It seems there is still much I need to learn. Like using a weapon.
