Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works! Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem. I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. No matter what happens you guys should be safe while we finish up, so just stay calm, okay? Don't get too reckless! Do you think the exercises would work for things that are heavier than fencing foils? Just in case I don't have one around to practice with on my own. [Or... you know, for broader and sharper swords, like a jian, but y'know. Not telling him THAT.]

For now, he decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. He just hoped that his imagination of Xiaolang playing with a broad sword is just him being overly paranoid. ]
I never tried it with a heavier sword myself but I believe it should? Fencing exercise helps with upper-body and arm strength, so you should get stronger to be able to hold something heavy. If anything, I think it would be interesting to try out.

... although, with his ongoing conversation with Sakura, the idea of her coming over to train was planted in his mind, and he debated on mentioning it to Leon. On one hand, it would be easier to have him supervise and instruct them both should something go wrong, and it wasn't as if they lacked space, but... boy, that really would make things all the more suspicious...]
You wouldn't mind if I asked Sakura to join us for some of these practices, would you? [Make note how he calls her 'Sakura' instead of 'Sunny' now-- you're not the only one who made ship progress on New Year's Eve, Leon] She mentioned she's interested in learning types of self-defense too, and whatever you know about fencing may be good for her to learn. She's hopeless at recognizing danger, so she could use all the help she can get.

I don't mind at all. In fact, I support it. [ There is no doubt that Leon is worried about Sakura's well being as well, but he still finds himself smirking at Xiaolang's suggestion. As a tsundere himself, he finds this ironically hilarious. ] When you say it like that, it makes me even more concerned over her safety. Sometimes I worry she's too nice for her own good.
[ But like any good nosy cousin, he has to ask because he certainly DID catch the name change. Isn't nice that both cousins had a relationship upgrade just in time for the New Year? ]
By the way, I noticed that you've been calling her Sakura instead of Sunny. I take it the sleepover went well?
