Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works! Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem. I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. No matter what happens you guys should be safe while we finish up, so just stay calm, okay? Don't get too reckless! [ERK. That's what he gets for jumping to conclusions. Maybe it was because he had come back from her place earlier that he had thought of that? But thinking of it, really thinking of it, her coming over to his apartment was the most logical course of action, regardless.]

My house might be the best place for it, then. He probably has practice foils we can work with, and it's too cold to be working outside these days as it is. I may just tell him that it's to work on our self-defense skills, so you don't have to worry about explaining your cards to him if you don't want to. [Not that he hadn't briefly brought them up before to his cousin, in regards to his own memories, but those were squarely Sakura's and he didn't want to say anything she wasn't keen on telling other people.]

But it is important, yeah. Even if we didn't get involved with this app, it's good to know what to do if you ever land yourself in danger and can't reach out to anyone else. You can't always rely on someone being around to help you at all times.

... although there are exceptions. Like if you're in over your head or something. [Meaning he's not trying to discourage her from what he suggested before, with contacting him should anything go wrong-- he'd drop anything and everything to help her if he had to.]

... I guess. You know more about them than I do at the moment, so you're probably the best person to tell him. If he's related to me, chances are he'll remember something in regards to them at some point too, so the sooner he knows about all of this, the better. [... not that Xiaolang knows Leon was nowhere near his family tree in his previous lifetime, of course unless one went very, very, VERY far back, but that's besides the point.] I still really haven't... remembered much about the cards, aside from what we already spoke about, so maybe someone else with memories will help jog my own.

That's true. I'm not sure if Fai-san and I were related, but he seems to remember us too. Maybe talking to Leon-san more might help us figure if he remembers us as well!

Didn't he say that he came from another country to serve you, though? Or I thought that's what he said... [That conversation in the cafe felt like it had been forever ago.] You should probably ask Fai at some point if he remembered anything else. He's the only one so far who remembers us being older, so maybe he has a clue to what may have happened after those cards got collected. Or if they got collected, anyway. Leon hasn't mentioned anything about what he remembered yet, but I'm sure he'd probably tell me if he did recall something about one of us. [Or so he hopes-- don't let him down, Leon!!

Right, whatever that is. Given the kind of abilities they possess, maybe the disaster is them landing into the wrong kind of hands to wield them. [Which... y'know, he hopes he's not one of them, but if he's looking to prevent the disaster, then it's probably not the case.] It makes me wonder how that boy with the glasses in my memories is tied into all of this, though...

--ah, also, Leon said he didn't mind you coming over, so... we can do that whenever, if that's okay with you. We may have the most time before school starts again, though.

I mostly remember strange things with the cards. Not so much you or other friends just yet. I might have just assumed -- if you have the same name in my memories, I mean. That you weren't Japanese. I called you Syaoran-kun.
