Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works! Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem. I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. No matter what happens you guys should be safe while we finish up, so just stay calm, okay? Don't get too reckless! I don't know man. The last time I could envision myself as some sort of hero I was a kid. These days not so much. It would have to be a role in a play.
Your memories sound super entertaining though. It must be fun comparing notes with someone close to you. What sort of city were you guys living in? Do you know yet?

it's nice that kiryu-chan and i remember so much together. it's not all funny though - we were messed up in some deep yakuza shit. in japan, of course. mostly some part of tokyo called "kamurocho" that doesn't exist. it's a redlight district? the closest we could find with the power of google is kabukicho so maybe that's what it is

I have the same kind of issue with my memory. Up until last August I lived in Manhattan all my life. Turns out the Other Me did too but some things are off. Most of the city is the same but it's like someone swapped out some of the buildings for other ones.

I guess. If I can remember what companies were in the big buildings I'll know who the billionaires of that New York were. Maybe Google HQ was there instead of Cali. Who knows.
Or yeah if aliens could afford that kind of rent they might have hung out in skyscrapers and street corners. It could be a slow subtle invasion.
