Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works! Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem. I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. I've remembered spending time with people that I liked a good amount back then. It seems like something minor when put into words, but for a while it seemed that I had no one, and no generally normal relationships or interactions with people. It's a relief to recall things that are reasonably normal like that.

I also realized that something that I thought killed me actually didn't manage to. I'm not certain where that's going to lead, but it's better than sudden and untimely death because of a poor decision on my part.

Haha, I feel you! I have the feeling that what I thought was my death didn't actually end up being one at all, albeit I can't say that it makes the idea of being kneaded into a meatball while still being alive and conscious any more appealing with that. Or that one of my friends(??) apparently seemed to think that I'm some sorta idiot who had it coming. >_< !!

I'm glad you now know that you've got friends in the past. Life would be pretty miserable without anybody to confide in and who cares about you. What decision did you make? Mine was to try and land the first blow on an enemy we didn't know the specifics about. That, and being an in-fighter. :(

Deliberately infecting myself with something that had an absurdly high mortality rate, on the gamble that I would be among the 0.0000001% that would be enhanced by it and not simply fall over and die immediately.

I'm somewhat impressed but mostly appalled that that actually worked out somehow, given that that isn't a typo with regards to the number of zeroes in that percentage. I was intensely lucky in that life, generally speaking, but that was a little on the absurd side.

As questionable as I find my past life as a whole, I do rather like several things about it. That level of confidence would be admirable were it not completely insane, though it's good to know that if I ever have the desire to go to Vegas I'll walk away set for life.
