LOADING...OVERFLOW

Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works!

Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem.

I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. No matter what happens you guys should be safe while we finish up, so just stay calm, okay? Don't get too reckless!

As of this post taste tier 4 has been icly regained; tier 5 will go into effect on Saturday, January 6th at 9pm EST and taste will be fully restored!

Per the mod plotting post, you may use this post to obtain this month's freebie! This month's freebie can be earned by turning in a thread on this post that has 10 or more consecutive comments from you.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently.

it'll be great to have you. you seem like you have a good head for this kind of thing.

a guide for new users would be awesome! heck, it'd even be helpful for oldbies in case we missed something.

what do you think about leadership of the coalition? I'd prefer not to be in charge of a bunch of people even if it's technically in my job description...

ideally I'd like to just have it be like a volunteer police officer situation. at the same time it might chase people off having to work with the police, and I want to make sure everyone feels safe.

supposedly i was some kind of leader once. so i guess so.
i did talk to some people about it! so i hope maybe some people will get it together and we can have something on-hand to make the whole thing easier to understand.
haha...yeah, like i said i was some kind of leader once but i do not know if i could do it again? and i think maybe you have a point.
it gets a little dicey and crossing people's jurisdiction or whatever when you merge the two.
maybe not so much being in charge of a bunch of people, but having a few people who can reach out to others when things get rough and spreading the word? like another network of people. it wouldn't be hard to upkeep and then you have a few people take that list of names and split up organizational duties, maybe.

you seem like a good solutions guy. maybe I'll bother you next time I get stuck.

[Mikleo is good for bouncing off, too, but sometimes Sorey likes to hear other opinions!]

I'd really rather not cross any lines. like you said, a network of people would work for this.

I just keep thinking of the convention. there were a lot of us on hand with fighting experience. we ended up kind of doing stuff on our own, and we weren't all that bad at it, so maybe we don't need as much organization as I thought? we were more effective after we came back with our teams but I'm not sure if it was teamwork that did it or just actual training. plus we had a little help.

maybe something like Minako's directory but for volunteers? split the names evenly among the admins or whatever.

i wouldn't mind, i think. i like helping where i can.
then let's figure out a network of people.
i wasn't here when everything went down in july and august but i heard a lot about it from different people. the first time something like that happened, right? if you are not expecting it to ever happen, it's hard to have a plan in place. even if people had fighting experience and things were efficient they can probably be more efficient? team up for joint attacks and strikes and stuff.
i know dante runs that fight club thing, too, but more training for everybody wouldn't be a bad idea.
i don't know. i have given this some thought. a directory is a good idea though.
now it's just about deciding how many admins and stuff.

yeah. we did the best with what we had, but... it could've gone better. less wanton destruction and people getting hurt, for sure. the joint attack thing is huge, that's something we were better at after we came back.

we could probably recruit people at the fight club that's not a fight club! I'm there on Sunday nights, so I'll poke around a bit and see who's interested.

we could probably ask for volunteers for that too.

first rule of fight club is don't call it a fight club, i know, i know. i've never been, but if you could scout that'd be really great!
maybe i will put up a post on the network or something later...? couldn't hurt.
