Hello and happy new year! A lot of poll results came in from R&D and we've almost fixed taste all the way. Horses are almost fixed, too. We've been working pretty much non-stop around the holidays to stabilize everything, so I hope this works! Just so you guys know, while we were working on fixing the original problems we received some alerts of residual effects outside of our usual domain. Don't worry though! Remember what I said a while ago? We're still moving more resources around into better defenses to protect the city from huge storms like last summer. We'll be taking care of that really soon and isolating the unknown problem. I wish I could tell you more, but we're all working overtime here to finish the final stages of a big project. No matter what happens you guys should be safe while we finish up, so just stay calm, okay? Don't get too reckless! the "secret" isnt really a secret at all!
it is simply a decision
to look for the good in any situation
and spread it to anyone who will accept it
if i can make somebody laugh
then i consider that a job well done :)

"Simply" isn't exactly the word I'd use... it makes it sound a lot easier than it actually is. Accepting the situation for what it is is much less of a challenge... and while I'd normally prefer the challenge, this way is less likely to wear you down over time with disappointment.

That's been my experience with that sort of optimism, at least.

...the song is good enough for a distraction when the storms come to the city, though. It's annoyingly catchy.

i dont really consider it a sacrifice
happiness isnt a finite resource
so its not like im expending my own happiness by spreading it around
making other people happy makes me happy in turn
thats what i "get out of it" so to speak

Science isn't infallible. It's always changing, throwing out the old and inviting in the new... maybe one day, it will stumble across something that forces it to revise that theory...

And for all we know, that something could be me... in which case, then very well. I'll consider it.
