Any name suggestions? Before you ask YES she was one of the shelter dogs in the Recolle 99th Precinct calendar.

There are so many names to give a new puppy. Name her after food: Mango or Poptart.

Though she does look like a Abby or a Sophie. Her name should definitely end in a -ie or -y sound.

Heck yeah I bought the calendar! Purely for the cuteness factor. The animals were pretty cute too.

Jokes aside I'm friends with the guy who posed with her so as clever as your suggestion is I think that would lead to confusion.

Cute. Charming. Makes more sense if he was the one who adopted the puppy. Would it be weird to name a girl dog a guy's name?

My lone complaint about Poptarty is that it sounds like something else like, "Pop is tardy. He threw out his back gardening." Okay that and also it's not fair to the baked goods and pastries that I love so much.

Funny. Fun to say. I hesitate to say she's the right brown to match a spud but not a bad suggestion.
I think my cousin will judge me forever if I choose Potato but she's my dog.

An honor huh? Yeah I wouldn't scoff if someone named their dog after me. Dogs are awesome! How is it an insult for someone to name their furry baby after you? It's not!
I guess people who hate dogs would naturally object but otherwise how uptight do you have to be to be offended by the idea?

I hadn't thought of that. You know I'm not sure I've met anyone who named their dog after a musician they like. The only example that comes to mind is Marley from that book/movie Marley and Me. Do you own any pets named after music artists?
