March 11, 2019 near TisseSo general questions for you guys. Has anyone had a huge time jump in their memories suddenly? Most of my memories have been of a teenager between 12-17 years old. Now he's like... in his late 30's early 40's? Second question... has anyone had memories of a spouse and kids? Because the guy in my memories had a wife and a son... apparently. Third question: Did any of you start feeling your other self's feelings for their spouse for over two days straight? I mean, man did this guy love his wife. Which is nice I guess for him... but dang. Has anyone else had to experience this?

A Trunk Full of Stuff

So this is a trunk that is definately bigger on the inside. I can fit a lot of stuff in here and I got it at the end of the year along with all of this wizarding school supplies. (Which completes all of the things required to get for the school my other self went to as a first year). Like... I don't know what to do with it all, most of the books are blank:
1. Two sets of plain work robes (black)
2. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide)
3. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)
4. name tags.
5. One plain pointed hat (black)

1. law is difficult and there's a reason we have to get certified to practice it, and also
2. he probably doesn't actually want my job?
He can take the rest of my life, for all I care - the only possible exception to this is that I draw the line at all the befriending of my cat he's currently doing - but I'd really prefer to not have to deal with this at the office day in and day out.
So if anyone has any advice for dealing with the tactless pests, I'm all for hearing it - and don't start with telling me that I shouldn't speak ill of the apparently deceased. If they don't want me to speak ill of them, they'll learn their place.

Meet the Tachikoma! [Video]
Nov. 2nd, 2018 02:22 pmstandalonehumanThe video is coming from user: Hitori Togusa, but the camera is focused on a blue spider-tank. The best approximation of a face is the round spherical bowling ball on its front, the holes turn and swivel to show where it is looking. Two arms on the front have claws that move and gesture, close enough to hands. But the tank is lying down, because one of its large legs on the back is clearly damaged.
But the tank is talking. Its voice is high-pitched, almost sweet, like a young girl's.
"What is the purpose of this?"
Togusa's voice cuts in. "Just introduce yourself. Last month was strange and dangerous, so if something weird happens again, I want all my friends to know that you're supposed to be here, and you'll protect me, so you don't get attacked again."
"Oh!" The tank's whole body perks up, then slumps back down because it tried to put weight on its damaged leg. "Hello!" The tank waves one claw at the camera.
"I am a Tachikoma! A multi-ped combat tank assigned to Mister Togusa as my primary user! I am still collecting data on the city, there's so much to learn and experience! But right now, I have to stay at the police station." Its tone turns almost dejected about that.
The camera turns around to see Togusa's face. "So. It can't do anything that I don't order it to. It's safe, and it'll protect me, or anybody else that I tell it to. But it got damaged last month." He looks a little sheepish.
"If anybody has experience working with robots, or even cars, I'll take anything. The Tachikoma has its own schematics loaded onto it, it can even help with its own repairs. But I don't have near the skill to fix it."
The camera turns back around to show the Tachikoma. "In the meantime, the Tachikoma here can't access the network directly, it can't see it, just like any other non-user. So, if you have any questions for it? I can ask them for you and relay the answers."

I recently got this in the maibox. It's my other self's school uniform. For those who don't know, he went to a wizarding school in the UK. The green represents the house his was in (it's like a dorm for you non-Brits). His house was called Slytherin, which usually has students in it who were ambitious and cunning.
It doesn't really fit though. I can put the robe on and that's about it. But considering this was probably his uniform when he was around 16 or so, it makes sense.
Thoughts? Opinions?

If you are new to the app and the whole Retrospec deal, I'd suggest you go read the User Guide first. Anyway. We spent about three evenings cleaning that place up. It was a literal mess. i wonder what you're all remembering about the worlds we all came from
how important were you there?
would the world just keep on turning without you?
would it have been better off?
or did you actually do something worthwhile?
