Yeah, I'm 99% sure that it's illegal to do anything to evidence if you're a civilian. That's like trying to cover up a crime.

If a crime occurred in another universe and there is no way of returning the evidence, should I still care?

It's not like they could solve anything in another universe or world but I still feel like I probably shouldn't tamper with it? Like what if it becomes important?

Anything Retrospec gives people could be a murder weapon. By that reasoning, no one should touch anything. But sometimes their utility outweighs how much I care.
