TEXT ♞ IT WASN'T ME, MA
If Retrospec gives you an item that you suspect is a murder weapon, what do you do with it? Should it be turned into the police or do you just keep it somewhere...? And what if you accidentally already got your fingerprints all over it...?
... hypothetically asking.
... hypothetically asking.

Have you murdered somebody?
no subject
If I actually did murder someone, why would I put up a post like this? Isn't that pretty much admitting to it?

I mean, I have a weapon from them which I'm pretty sure has been used to kill a lot of people, but since it was in like in the 1860s or something it's kind of hard to see how that would be relevant to the police (-。-;
if they don't actually have an open case related to it I don't know what they're supposed to do with it
no subject
I could put it back in the mailbox but I'm a little afraid of what would happen if I give it back to Retrospec...

But please, do not give it to the police. Any crime that might have been committed with this hypothetical possible murder weapon before it was given to you by Retrospec is completely outside their jurisdiction anyway. It would just confuse the non-app police.
If someone was curious about said hypothetical maybe murder weapon and wants to determine if it really was used in a violent fashion, I happen to be a CSI and can examine it for them.

I can confirm that anything that happens in other dimensions entirely is completely out of the local law enforcement's jurisdiction, if it comforts you any.
no subject
But then should I leave it with an officer who is on the app or do I just put it back in the mailbox?

But that aside, that all depends. Since it sounds like it's something from your memories, having been sent to you by Retrospec, then you can't really be arrested from a crime you committed in your past life, can you?
Not unless Retrospec is trying to frame you for something.

And it’s not a cause where I just don’t remember doing the act or anything like that. I distinctly remember that I found this knife (or a very similar one) with a body.
