Hello, everyone! As you've probably noticed, we've been having a few problems - I mentioned earlier that something got knocked out of balance, and we had to recalibrate, but in a few days we should be able to drop the emergency measures. Please be aware that there is an incoming storm, class four. General orders for that kind of thing are to report to management for any known threats and follow instructions, but so far what's known is "that might be a little annoying" and "hope it isn't". Theoretically it'll probably be related to the holiday, I think, because a large group of souls focused through the needle of a pin on one thing can sort of shape a thing around them.

That's sort of a really inaccurate way to put it on the technical side of things, but I think it's the easiest way to understand it! At any rate, we'll know more once we're in the thick of things. Please take care as usual; resources aren't exactly what some of you seem to think they are, and we had to expend rather more than usual in the past month or so to keep things with a few of you steady.

Per the mod plotting post, you may use this post to obtain one of this month's freebies! This month's freebie can be earned by turning in a thread on this post that has 5 or more consecutive comments from you with someone new. We define someone new as someone new to the game, or simply someone your character has never tagged before.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently.

It makes it more difficult because we'd have to either get creative to get information, or we have to hope that someone within that group will give us a break.
And I'm not too crazy about the idea of sitting around and waiting option two happens.

[personal profile] godcards 2018-02-05 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
So you get creative... Tell me, has that actually produced results?

[personal profile] kabloom 2018-02-05 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Not the kind of results that most people would be satisfied with.
Everything that people have discovered by exploring or other methods have just been very small pieces of the puzzle that probably won't really make any real sense until we're given a larger picture.

This is turning out to be a large picture indeed... but you're right about one thing, that I certainly wouldn't be satisfied with bits and pieces of non-information. I want something bigger, more concrete. Something with an actual direction. Or else it's just as meaningless as everything else Retrospec says.

Right.
And that information would have to be something we can really work with as well.
The reveal about unreality was a major turning point for us users, but at the end of the day, it still really didn't tell us that much in regards of what we can personally do about it.

Pretty much everything they tell us, we can't do anything about. Personally, that feeling of not being in control... it causes resentment. In addition to their incompetence, that is. They certainly aren't trustworthy on their own, but by constantly taking away MY control over my life certainly doesn't endear me to them any more.

Right. All they're really doing is making everyone become more and more bitter towards them.
And eventually it'll reach a point where, unless something changes, most people will stop wanting to play along with all of this.

[personal profile] godcards 2018-02-10 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha! I reached that point a long time ago. If you have any brains you'd be reaching that point too.

You're still trying to interact with them so it doesn't really seem like it.

What??? Don't insult me... It's not like they really monitor or respond to these things.

Unless that's somehow changed in the last two or three months.

[personal profile] kabloom 2018-02-14 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha but that's what I meant.
I think that if everyone truly gives up on them, then we probably wouldn't even be checking these posts when they go up.

But are these posts really about Retrospec? It's not like anyone checks these posts for legitimate information or to contact the staff. Mostly everyone is rightfully complaining... Doesn't make sense to do it on any other forum. This is the one forced on us.

[ it's fine she won't call him out on it ]

It probably depends on how long you've had the app, I think.

Almost a year in my case.

Wow
I've only had it for about half a year?
I have a question since you've had it for so long.
What are trends you've noticed us do in regards to this post? Besides the complaining.
godcards: (01.)

[personal profile] godcards 2018-02-20 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
Mostly it's complaining.
There are some who give compliments to the staff or defend their poor choices.
Then there are those who are new and don't know anything.

Those are the primary categories.

[personal profile] kabloom 2018-02-21 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Are there really people who defend them?
I could see it in a "there are in a similar boat as we are" thing because of the past worlds issue, but they still have more power over us...
godcards: (01.)

[personal profile] godcards 2018-02-24 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't explain why some are so attached to these non-entities. It's just what I've seen. The best guess I have is that they're projecting false ideas and feelings onto them... so they feel more sympathetic for no reason.

They're just idiots and should be ignored.
kabloom: (pic#11658058)

[personal profile] kabloom 2018-02-25 01:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I can understand being sympathetic to a certain degree.
But to the point where you ignore all of the valid criticism against them, and to defend them is... a little much.
godcards: (13.)

[personal profile] godcards 2018-02-26 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
You're better off asking those people. I certainly can't explain or defend their actions.

I guess you're right.
Still, you've definitely helped with what you could answer.
