Hello, everyone! As you've probably noticed, we've been having a few problems - I mentioned earlier that something got knocked out of balance, and we had to recalibrate, but in a few days we should be able to drop the emergency measures. Please be aware that there is an incoming storm, class four. General orders for that kind of thing are to report to management for any known threats and follow instructions, but so far what's known is "that might be a little annoying" and "hope it isn't". Theoretically it'll probably be related to the holiday, I think, because a large group of souls focused through the needle of a pin on one thing can sort of shape a thing around them. That's sort of a really inaccurate way to put it on the technical side of things, but I think it's the easiest way to understand it! At any rate, we'll know more once we're in the thick of things. Please take care as usual; resources aren't exactly what some of you seem to think they are, and we had to expend rather more than usual in the past month or so to keep things with a few of you steady. I wanted to take piano growing up, but other activities unfortunately took up a good chunk of my time.

Anyway, I hope that this doesn't interfere too much with your teachings.

Really? That is a shame. I never had many hobbies perhaps that's why it clicked.

Right. My main hobby back then (and now) was swimming, which meant that taking piano lessons and having the hours to put in practice wasn't going to work out.

You just took a different path. Swimming is a good hobby, I think. Do you like listening to the piano? I mainly teach the classics but I could recommend a few songs, at least.

I do, actually. It's relaxing, but also keeps me on track while I'm doing homework.
Anything would be very helpful. I'd appreciate it.

Off the top of my head... "Little" Fugue in G minor, BWV 578 by Bach. It's originally meant for the organ but a transcribed version for piano can be found. I find the organ version a little depressing for my tastes but the piano version can keep one motivated, I think.

Depressing music doesn't sit well with me when I'm trying to get work done, as you may have guessed.

I did, actually. I agree with you. I find that sort of music fine to listen to but it's a poor motivator.
