A wish.
[ The Holy Grail. He does not recall exactly what it is, but from what he gathers from the brief memory with the "King of Heroes," it is something to wish upon. And Kei's other self would allow that man to "wish for death." What does that mean? No, he understands it simply, but there is more said and unsaid than he can unravel. ]
With all this business going on, some frivolousness ponderings might be an enjoyable distraction.
Well, then. If you could wish for anything, what would it be? [ A pause. Kei thinks of sending it like that yet he feels that may be too telling. Too telling of what? He's uncertain, but adds more to cover up his uncertainty. ] Though, with Valentine's Day is coming, most are thinking of just wishing for someone to spend that day with, hm? :)

But your loved one would stay as they are now. You would like them to remain unchanged, then, right?

I guess being more specific would be better, so if this weren't hypothetical, I'd have to really think about it.

Please, be as specific as you like. This is my frivolous fun in turn. I like trying to figure out why people wish what they wish. I feel it helps them, too, because when one realizes what they're wishing is something they can accomplish now... the wish can become reality.

[ She really does think about it. ]
I think I'd rephrase and say that... "I wish for my loved ones to have the happiest life they possibly can." Bad things will happen to everyone, but there should be a balance.
No one deserves just bad things to happen to them.

"The happiest life that they possibly can" -- is another soft, kind wish for the people that you love. Yet you do not wish anything for yourself? I appreciate that everyone thinks of others first, of course, but you're saying that your loved one's happiness is your happiness?

Pretty much, yeah. I mean... mostly I've had a pretty good life, and I've got everything I could ask for. Why, is that weird?

However, the happiness of others is something that I am attempting to vicariously experience, but I also know there is a chance I will not be capable of it. Not because I do not wish them the best; not because I do not wish them to be their happiest. But I'm also aware I cannot live on the mirrored sunshine of someone else's life.
I suppose I would rather hope for more selfishness from people, but I believe that makes me more odd than you.
