I figure I should probably have a stable built first. Or at least rent one until I can get a proper one built. But I'm rather clueless about anything else involved in caring for the animal itself.

But is that a reward for saving the mayor and the others? I assume that you were all successful, anyway.

How beautiful...!
If you house them at the stables, we'll take care of them properly ♪ It's a little costly, but that's the price of good care.
All you'd have to do is come visit them every so often so they don't get lonely. Horses like being brushed and cared for by those who own them as well, as well as being given treats and ridden ☆ So doing that much should be enough.
Well, we can do that too, but horses really, really like it when it's the person who owns them!
And a happy horse is a healthy horse, as I say!

I'm planning to have my own built and hire some people eventually, but in the meantime,
I suppose renting a space and paying for care is the best solution. Money is not an issue at all. Who should I contact to inquire about things?
I will have to learn all of that, if someone is willing to teach. I only had a few horse riding lessons as a very small child, so I'm very much out of my depth here.

you're super lucky! horses are way cooler than chocobos. and taste better, probably.

I don't think I've ever tasted horse. I don't think I will try it with this one.

And to be honest, something about the idea turns my stomach for some reason.

I don't mind caring for it properly but I'm unsure of where to start.

forget about horse care, where are you even supposed to keep that thing?

Apparently, there are some stables in town where I could house him until I get my own built.
[As one does, obviously.]

But, message Officer Frederick Boudin. He's one of our mounted officers, but he knows a lot about caring for horses. Tell him you suddenly have a horse, and he'll definitely help.

Someone who works at the stables also contacted me and I have a temporary housing solution until I can get my own stables built, at least.
[Because this is what you do when you suddenly get a horse out of nowhere, right? You build your own stables to house it.]

Horses are much like big dogs but require far more care.
I can only render some small assistance, but only as someone who rode ponies as a child.
You'll need a stable. A decent income to provide proper food and care. A saddle, bridle, brush.
Does he have a name? He's beautiful, I must say.
no subject
He's named Iwaiichigou. I don't think I was the one to name him, though. In fact I don't know if he's really 'mine'.
no subject
Outside the city for now, but I've been around enough, growing up, to be able to help when I get back.
Perhaps ask around in the places near the city to see if anyone is keeping large animals or has a barn that you can use as a stable?
no subject
But I would definitely appreciate getting some help in learning what is necessary to care for such an animal. It would irresponsible not to.

I'm looking for some plot of land to buy so I can have a stable built. He'll be housed at the city stables until then and a few people have offered to teach me how to take care of him.
