hey. looks like you're all busy right now and joanne is down with a cold, so this probably doesn't have to be fancy. r&d doesn't report anything major for the next month so don't be dumbasses and make a problem of your own. don't fuck with the liaison, we're not replacing him. looks like there's some weird fucking stone at city hall now. enjoy that, i guess. pretty sure zee warned you about the stones, but if you broke it, that sucks and we don't know how to fucking fix it yet so good job, idiot. you might need to be a little proactive. r&d probably has something in mind, but good fucking luck getting a straight answer out of any of them but the kid. maybe they'll at least tell zee what they need, though. or if you're chill with the loss, whatever. that's about it. wait, right. joanne wanted to thank two of you for letting her help with holiday shit last month. thanks for not being assholes. the kid likes having stuff to do, i guess. and that's really it. later. Wendy Guo Security/Archivist Retr spec IncorporatedPer the mod plotting post, you may use this post to obtain this month's freebie! This month's freebie can be earned by turning in a thread on this post that has 10 or more consecutive comments from you. Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Additionally, the heart stones from February are still in effect! They will be in effect until 3/3 and will be addressed on the event log. Thanks! This post is the overflow for the post originally found here! Please feel free to make new toplevels or simply shift your threads over. |

Hmm
I might be in.
But assuming we already have something wrong, then depending on what we cause to go wrong, they might miss the former while dealing with the latter.

So there are swamps out there, too? Do they have swamp monsters in them?
no subject
Hopefully there weren't that many other lifeforms in your literal hellhole?
no subject
Ummm
Let me think
There were elemental spirits of various kinds. A couple of dragons. A phoenix? Living statues...
no subject
There were arm fish here, but I think I would rather deal with those than spirits, dragons, and living statues.
no subject
Oh, I forgot that there were horses there, too.
no subject
[ to eat... he'll bring Jamie back an arm, it's a promise ]
I like horses a lot more though. They make travel easier, don't they? No walking.
no subject
Actually, there was also an attempted drowning on me and my group.
I don't know. Horses are nice in theory, or for horse people, but they're kind of monstrous, too, aren't they?
no subject
They're a lot bigger than pictures make them look, yeah.
no subject
No, this was in water, fortunately.
...I mean I guess I'd be dead either way if they had successfully drowned me, but aside from that the water was actually quite pleasant.
You know, I wonder if non-Retrospec people still think horses are a recent discovery. I should ask someone about it.
no subject
Drowning aside, I'm kind of jealous. I love hot springs.
Probably... I'd like to know too, if you find out anything.
no subject
Well... I didn't know you knew Ms. Geteilt! Incidentally, her sister Jasmine was also one of the victims of the attempted drowning with me.
I actually have no idea what temperature that water was. Compared to our surroundings for most of the month, it felt so cool and refreshing, but everywhere else was so hot, it would've probably felt that way even if it had been pretty warm.
no subject
Mm. Not as awesome as hot springs, but it sounds nice too. Like a cool breeze in during a hot summer day. Contrast is nice.
no subject
I don't know either of them SUPER well, but they're both very smart and capable. Jasmine seems more like the older-sister type, I think, but I don't actually know their ages.
It really is! This might be weird, but I love the way it feels to smoke outside on a cold day. An outdoor hot spring in winter is really nice, too, but it's hard to get back out.
no subject
Is smoking warm? I can't tell, because you light up but it doesn't stay on fire.
Solution to hot springs: don't get out. Go with a buddy who will drag you out after you pass out.
no subject
It's not super burning hot or anything, but it's warm. I notice that a lot more when it's cold. It kind of reminds me of a toaster.
Oh!!
That's such a good idea!!
Then I don't have to form a memory of the freezing sensation at all!
[ How DOES Minato think of such great things?! ]
no subject
Warming your hands over the toaster in the morning is the best. I'll put smoking on my list of dying wishes so I can try once.
Right? You can take it from personal experience that it works.
no subject
Does that mean you have to wait until you're about to die before you smoke your one thing, or can it come at any point as long as you only do it once?
I've actually never smoked tobacco and I'm not really planning to, but I've always been a little intrigued by cigars. Because it seems like they're what tycoons would smoke. Not, like, business magnates or millionaires or industrialists or whatever else you might call people like that, but specifically "tycoons"
no subject
Hmm. Right before I die would be best, I think. That way, I'll have something in the future to look forward to. Tycoon sounds like a fake word, but the imagery is cool. I wish I were rich and powerful.
no subject
Hmm.
That's a good question.
Suddenly I'm having a hard time thinking of people I know who are mature.
Are you planning to die of natural causes? It would be sad if you were in a state where you couldn't even enjoy smoking it...
If you had to choose, would you rather smoke a pipe, or a cigarette in one of those long holder things?
no subject
I've got a few ways I plan to die. Not all of them are conducive for smoking, you're right. Out of those two options, I think a pipe. But nothing beats a thick cigar and a bad accent.
