I just got a crane in the mail and it won't stop following me around.

I don't know if I should just "release" into the woods so does anyone know if the zoo takes donations? Because I really can't take home a crane.

It won't stop pecking me if I tried picking him up anyway...

I definitely can't afford to pay rent for an outdoor space. I can barely pay my bills right now... so yeah, I'm going to be calling the local zoo and some animal sanctuaries to see if anyone could take it in for now.

According to its wiki, it can eat fish like carp but I'm not sure if it'll be... picky with its food, like is thawed out frozen carp okay or does it have to be live?

that sounds like a good plan! since it's endangered, they'll probably take it in if you let them know what kind of crane it is
and if it's all you have, then thawed out carp should be fine for a while... i'm sure it'll understand

i know this might sound strange, but do you mind if i stop by to look at it?

I hope so... I definitely don't have any equipment to go out and try to actually fish for live fish, if there are even any around here.

And sure, I don't mind but why do you want to see it?

it'd be difficult to keep fishing every day for it, and buying live fish every day isn't cheap, either....

I barely have enough money to feed myself sometimes... I don't think I'll have enough to feed a bird every day.
