I just got a crane in the mail and it won't stop following me around.

I don't know if I should just "release" into the woods so does anyone know if the zoo takes donations? Because I really can't take home a crane.

It won't stop pecking me if I tried picking him up anyway...

If the zoo won't take him, you could try an exotic bird sanctuary. Definitely don't dump him in the woods or stuff him back in the mailbox. I'm pretty sure he's an endangered species.

I'm going to try calling the zoo later today and find the number of an exotic bird sanctuary to call them as well. I'm hoping that someone can take it in because I certainly can't take care of it.

Yeah, I'm going to be calling the zoo later today to see if they could take it in. If not, I was told to contact my local vet office to see if I can get the number to an animal sanctuary to see if anyone else can take it.

Yeah, I've been advised to keep it around for a bit so I'm going to do that until I can get in touch with the zoo or an animal sanctuary.
