I don't know if I can ever be mad at Retrospec again, since I woke up this morning able to see clearly for the first time in my life. Looking through my glasses with perfect vision makes me realize how bad my eyes really are. Or were? Being nearly blind is the bane of my existence, so this is like the single best thing that could ever happen. The fake glasses I got a few weeks ago suddenly make so much sense!

But anyway, a lot of us have had appearance changes, right? I got kind of curious about everyone else, like if you've totally turned into your memory self or if you haven't changed at all, or how you're dealing with the changes. I look pretty much the same, but I've heard some people remember being super different.

That, and... I've been trying to keep the tattoos I got from Retrospec a secret from everyone, but my Mom walked in on me changing clothes the other day and didn't seem to notice at all. But I've heard that's different for everyone too! (Don't tell anyone outside the app though, okay? Help me protect my low-key school life, I'm begging you)

well, short of her fashion choices, at least
i still prefer lighter colors, while hers tend towards your ordinary blue.
regardless, i hadn't minded the changes too much when they occurred; prior to this my hair was quite light anyway, and i had hazel eyes, so it isn't as if it was a major shift
(i am silver haired and gold eyed now, to put that on the record)

I guess it would be harder to get used to if you went from something super different, though

Not being able to see anything more than half a foot away is the actual worst
But I guess I can cross contacts off of my worries list! I'll probably start wearing these fake glasses, though

I feel so stupid for stressing out so much over it, but can you blame me?
Even when Hinata told me people without the app sometimes stop noticing I couldn't help but worry!

Yeah, just this morning I woke up and could see perfectly before I even reached for my glasses
It's like a miracle!

Mom thought I dyed my hair.
The eye scar I've been hiding with make up.

But I guess a scar wouldn't be a much fun, especially if it's one you have to cover up
My cousins helped me learn how to do cover-up makeup like that, but it's kind of useless since my tattoos are all under my shirt anyway

You know, I'm actually not sure what I looked like in my previous life. I'm pretty sure I was around the same size, and I know what kind of uniform I wore, but I don't know if I had an unusual hair or eye color, or... animal ears or something. Maybe I'll remember something soon where I looked in a mirror...

Huh... I saw myself in a mirror pretty early on, and my hair is the same length I have it now in my earlier memories so I could see it around my face even before that
I never thought about it that way, but I guess there are tons of possibilities

Could you judge by the people you see in your memories?
Like if any of them have weird hair colors or qualities, you might be the same
But you can probably rest easy if they all look really normal
Things like that, maybe?

I was kind of worried about that since I think I do it more than I realize
Even now when I wear contacts on the weekends and after school, sometimes I forget and try to push my glasses up
But I think I'm going to wear the fake ones at school for a while after all...

I have to say that does sound pretty great... I guess if Retrospec ever did something like that for me, I’d never be angry with them either
but the chances are the opposite will happen heh

the only physical change I’ve had is my eye color! they used to be brown and now they’re kind of dark purple

That would make sense if you have glasses in your memories, but I hope you aren't as blind as I am/was
Dark purple seems like a cool eye color to have, if they had to change

Tattoos sound like a hassle to hide. What do you do in gym class?

I could not hide my hair when it changed color AND length in December, and then just the other day my eyes changed color. I am not really bothered. This is a minor change compared to some and I do not dislike how I look now.

...You're going to laugh at me, but I usually change shirts in the bathroom stall in the locker room
And I can't wear white t-shirts because you can see the tattoos through them
But if people not on Retrospec won't notice anymore, I can go back to doing things normally!

If your hair totally changed, what was it like before?
I mean, I haven't seen your eyes yet but I'm sure they look fine
Either way, I'm glad you're not bothered by it!

I'm not entirely sure, since at least one of my other selves looks the same as me, but my blood has turned into ink and judging from things that has happened to a friend of mine whom I have seen in part of my memories, my changes are not done, even if they are not visible on the outside.

Well this was like... a month and a half after it happened, I think?
My cousin said people sometimes get used to things after a while, so I tried to hide it as long as I could

What kind of ears are they?

Improved as in back to 20/20 like a normal person, or at least I think so!
So it's like free laser eye surgery without the lasers
Or the surgery
Did the person you know have their senses sharpened past a normal human level, or were they dull before?

Not everything's good, but this is enough of a lifesaver that I'm almost willing to forget all the bad stuff
