You know, I think some April Fool's pranks are okay! Like the silly ones they do on websites or the really good natured kind. But I am LESS okay with someone changing the ENTIRE layout of our entire building and giving us treasure maps to go around it which for the record my brother-in-law did and it's a pain!! There's some weird effects coming in from outside this planet at the moment, although they'll mostly miss the city itself. There'll be a localized temporal storm, but it shouldn't be more than a mild irritation. It looks like it's just going to yank some things around and send them on through. I think Maurice is going to call out sick that day, or if I were him I definitely would. Hey, I kind of want a four-leaf clover. I know that's more last month than this month, but still. If you find one, pass it along. Also, I want to do a cutesy April Fools thing, so don't get too mad! It does sound in the realm of exotic dancers, but I won't hold it against you.
My sister was one for a period of time, but overall I found them to be a mix of vapid or overachieving.
And all very good-looking.
I had a period of time, my "emo" phase perhaps, where I decried them as the root of all evil and The Patriarchy.
Though, my point about the patriarchy still stands as cheerleading is a sport that exclusively dresses athletic women in mini-skirts for the enjoyment of heterosexual men and speaks lowly of their gymnastic abilities in terms of being fluffy, worthless entertainment.

i had a few concerns that you were implying roxy was an exotic dancer and while i am sure she would look good as one that does not really fit her.

I would never.
She has that spark of cheer that I think may have skipped the rest of us.
While they do function as that, the female leg has been seen as "unseemly" in some vaguely sexual manner in the past, going so far as being whorish if seen.
There's also the matter of being able to see their underwear, which is definitely a result of the male view.
Though.
It could be said that the miniskirt is freeing them from the oppression of being hidden away as if being seen by men alone could make one a whore. Taking control of their bodies, perhaps.

i am all about feminism but also i think sometimes they just like wearing the skirts and don't have a better plan beyond that. i haven't talked to any cheerleaders since i graduated.
