devilsadvocatoHeard some friends and family remember a different version of our shared history than I do. Anybody else out there have different memories from people who are close to you?
It's weird! Between us all we have a crap load of photos and videos of events one side or the other doesn't remember. Like a close family friend who was my husband's best man at our wedding- he doesn't remember the wedding but he's there in the photo album. There are gifts that friends don't remember giving. Letters sent to relatives years ago that disappeared because they weren't sent in their memories. Yet all of us have our jobs and our homes from our personal version of history.
Does this mean paradoxes can exist without the universe exploding or something the way it does in sci-fi movies?

So we have an anonymous function now, and asking personal questions is all well and good, but the best way to break this in is through Hot or Not.
Post the name of someone else in Recolle (you can include a picture if you have one) and other anons will rate their Hotness.

I know, I've been out of the loop lately. Not my fault! I feel like I used to be more skeptical but that's kind of weird in and of itself, but sorry if it's an old and bored topic.
My opinion is that whatever we call it, however we explain it, it's doing something, right? It's affecting you and me and the people around us.
It's a lot like me and yoga. I don't believe in chakra and centering yourself and all that (sorry, coach!) but I think you'll agree: the results speak for themselves. ;)
Speaking of activities, it's a week 'til my birthday. The big 2-1. Since I'm kind of partied out with all the festivities happening, I'm thinking of going out on an adventure instead. Camping! Hiking! Climbing! Cliff-diving! What's not to love?
If you think a couple of nights out in Magatus territory plus the round-trip road trip are for you, HMU and I'll make the arrangements. (Unless you have a camper, in which case you're already my new favorite person, so HMU *fast*!)

... It's difficult. Even with everything that we try to accomplish, horrifying things happen nonetheless. It can be so easy to still feel powerless. But I'd like to use this momentum we've build this month for good.
Some of you may still be wanting to make a charitable donation. Say you were outbid or couldn't come. I've decided to bring in one last collection for the orphanage for the end of the month if you'd like to pitch in. Tell me your ideas and I'll try to set a date. Say, a week from today?
An orphanage isn't like an animal shelter. I say this not to be glib but because it can be easy to forget. Little luxuries and enrichment are very meaningful. I've put some thought into things that people don't usually think to donate.
Such as bathing suits. It's summer, lots of children will not have one, and trips to the beach aren't unheard of. And many of those at the facility are out of foster homes for a reason, so toys like Legos or putty. Anything geared toward teenagers or older children. People tend to forget that orphans older than ten are still orphans.
With everything that's happened these past months... I wonder if our presence here is just harmful to them all, in the end. Don't you think it would be better if they could just live their lives unhindered by these disruptions?
