You know, I think some April Fool's pranks are okay! Like the silly ones they do on websites or the really good natured kind. But I am LESS okay with someone changing the ENTIRE layout of our entire building and giving us treasure maps to go around it which for the record my brother-in-law did and it's a pain!!

There's some weird effects coming in from outside this planet at the moment, although they'll mostly miss the city itself. There'll be a localized temporal storm, but it shouldn't be more than a mild irritation. It looks like it's just going to yank some things around and send them on through. I think Maurice is going to call out sick that day, or if I were him I definitely would.

Hey, I kind of want a four-leaf clover. I know that's more last month than this month, but still. If you find one, pass it along.

Also, I want to do a cutesy April Fools thing, so don't get too mad!

For the remainder of the day all users will have their userpic replaced with a picture of them dressed as their favorite animal. It's pretty harmless as far as pranks go, and it will change back either at midnight or after trying to change the picture twice, prompting an "Are you sure?" message but no further ill effects.

It's hard to believe that I've been blind to all these for over a year.

Our names and pictures are on the app but it's nice to meet you anyway. I appreciate your explanations.

I know. I was here for a few months before I actually got the app and figured things out. I still have no idea how it works that people don't notice monsters or people going missing or whatever.

But uh, sure. I know this whole mess is confusing. It's a lot to figure at first.

I imagine it's more of a seeing is believing kind of situation.

Some might even say it's time to hit the tabloids and conspiracy theorists.

I doubt that would work. Unless others have the app too, they have no idea about this stuff and think everything is normal.

I'm growing more inclined to think mass hallucination.

Mass hallucinations with what? If it was drugs or something in the air, we'd all be experiencing it. Not only some of us that actually have the app.

Hypnosis that spreads through visual cues on the app, maybe. But I'm merely speculating.

You keep speculating then. Maybe eventually you might guess right and we'll figure more out. But honestly it seems each time we learn more we also just get more questions from it.

Yeah. I know. It's not like I have much longer anyway. For all I figure, as much as he says we're sticking around here for a while, we could have moved elsewhere by then.

If it gets me out of this app's range or whatever. Sure. Be nice not to worry about all this. Then again, that wouldn't necessarily guarantee the same for everyone else here stuck with it.

Likely not. But that's everyone else's decision to make.

If we figure that. Any sort of control over this. But yeah, I guess you're right there. It's our choice, in how we deal with the app at least.

Something like that. In theory. Even if it feels like one step closer and two back in how it leads to more questions and confusion. Slow progress. Sort of. I figure we already know more now than we did when this started happening last year in February.

We'll just have to see what the coming months bring.

I've never been the most patient. But with these guys, with this app, it's an exception. They can take all the time they want in between messing things up trying to fix something they broke or whatever the problem is.

If they're even in full control of all this.
