You know, I think some April Fool's pranks are okay! Like the silly ones they do on websites or the really good natured kind. But I am LESS okay with someone changing the ENTIRE layout of our entire building and giving us treasure maps to go around it which for the record my brother-in-law did and it's a pain!!

There's some weird effects coming in from outside this planet at the moment, although they'll mostly miss the city itself. There'll be a localized temporal storm, but it shouldn't be more than a mild irritation. It looks like it's just going to yank some things around and send them on through. I think Maurice is going to call out sick that day, or if I were him I definitely would.

Hey, I kind of want a four-leaf clover. I know that's more last month than this month, but still. If you find one, pass it along.

Also, I want to do a cutesy April Fools thing, so don't get too mad!

For the remainder of the day all users will have their userpic replaced with a picture of them dressed as their favorite animal. It's pretty harmless as far as pranks go, and it will change back either at midnight or after trying to change the picture twice, prompting an "Are you sure?" message but no further ill effects.

Per the mod plotting post, you may use this post to obtain one of this month's freebies! This month's freebie can be earned by turning in a thread on this post that has 5 or more consecutive comments from you with someone new. We define someone new as someone new to the game, or simply someone your character has never tagged before.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently.

This post is the overflow for the post originally found here! Please feel free to make new toplevels or simply shift your threads over.

[... what a good egg this guy seems to be. Heigo can't help smiling to himself as he types a response.]

Ah, that's what I picked up in your choice of words. You've got the rousing speeches part of leadership down pat, in case no one let you know that before.

You think so?! Someone mentioned that to me before, but having another person that agrees truly means a lot!

( •̀ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧ I just want everyone to know that they don't have to face things alone! Retrospec can be daunting at first... and still is in some ways!

I'm not surprised you've heard it before. You've really got a way with inspirational words.

What are you taking at RU? I went there as well, back around the dawn of time.

Hahaha! Well, I'm glad to know my words have been inspiring!

Mostly GE classes right now! I haven't declared a major, so I'm taking on my requirements first! I will figure something out eventually though!

Ah, you're a RU graduate? What did you major in?!

You made a smart choice by enrolling anyway and taking some courses to get a feel for what's on offer. I've known any number of people who drift for years and years not knowing what they want to do, but it's mostly because they never try anything to start the process of elimination.

Economics, with a focus on accounting. I'm a CMA now.
steadycourse: (That's a good plan)

You'll never get anywhere if you don't take that first step!

Ah, a CMA? That's impressive! It's good to hear you're making the most out of your degree! You sure know a thing or two about numbers, hahaha!

I did reach my ultimate goal, you're right... somehow you manage to make it all sound much more impressive than it feels. When you're living the situation, it just feels like a series of logical progressions, one step to the next.
steadycourse: (Huh...?)

I think I understand... but even if it seems mundane, each step matters!

Now that you've reached your career job, what is your next goal? It always helps to set new objectives to reach for!
