05/02 near Pawn PromotionFirst off, while not the main intention of this post, I've quit Club Sunshine. My shop is now earning enough money that I can live off of that instead of having two jobs. I guess I should really thank Retrospec for giving me some of my domain back and making my shop more haunted.
I can't complain about making more money that way.
But here's what I want to ask and why I'm here:
What are your thoughts about dragons? I know we hear stories about the knight in shining armor coming to rescue the princess from the tallest tower guarded by a dragon and people generally think of them as evil.
Some people think they're good, too. You always see posts on the internet defending them.
But what would you do if you knew dragons were evil beings? No, not that. Soulless beings. I think that's the right term I'm looking for.
I need to know.
If you don't care to talk about dragons, then let's talk about pirates.

When you say 'soulless beings', what does that mean? Like on the level of a normal animal? Then I'd think of them like any other normal animal that could eat me.

Or pirate dragons?
One would ride a dragon to attack other dragon riders,
while the other would be a dragon with pirating as their profession?
However, I would have to ask if having a soul is a requirement of being 'good' or not.
no subject
Anyway, a soul is probably at least a requirement to make a choice instead of just causing rampant destruction due to being corrupted. If that makes sense.

i'm still new to all this so i don't really have an answer for you
soulless dragons sound kind of creepy though

About my race and how we're related to dragons.
And how we probably become soulless dragons with the correct catalyst.

[Just straight to the point there.]
Saint George and the Dragon is a commonly aped story, boiled down to its most simplistic parts, but the full tale is rarely told.
We are not "evil beings," so far as I am aware.
["Morally debatable" is much more diplomatic.]
no subject
But, it's nice to hear of a dragon that's not evil. Or... soulless.
Maybe it's just my world where we're like that then.

i always thought dragons were bad because they kidnap people and eat them in stories, but that's just stories...
i dunno anything about if they have souls or not
maybe i'll know more about pirates!!!
what did you want to say about them??
no subject
Anyway, pirates.
They seem pretty standard as in they steal and pillage. And might be evil as well. At least pirates seem cooler than dragons.

[ clearly his several christmas purchases were a real game changer for your business ]
Why are you so concerned about dragons?
[ he initially adds "Did one steal your invisible spirit wife or something?" but decides to be a little less of an asshole and deletes it ]
no subject
As for why I'm concerned with dragons, well, apparently my past self became one. Except from the stories I've heard, turning into a dragon is worse than death.
[No need to hide this from his friend, he supposes.]

Is it really evil if that’s all the dragon knows?
no subject
At least that's how it sounds.
They've been corrupted so much that a dragon is what they've become.

I don't know. I'm not sure I understand. How did they lose their souls? What do they have, if not a soul?
no subject
On malevolence.
(no subject)

That aside, I always found them... neutral. Neither good nor evil. Nothing from my world quite sways it one or the other, though I've ridden on them a few times here, so I'm rather favorable regardless.
What do you mean by "soulless being"? Like golems of legend, listening to the command of their master? Or something else?
no subject
As for soulless, I'm talking about those who pretty much have lost themselves and probably only know how to bring about destruction. As far as I know, they have no master.
