░lright so three things, all of them ░ little bit related ░nd bare with me bec░use they might not seem that import░nt in light of the world going blank! But it's ░lso going to be more relevant th░n ever if we get more people this next month on the app ░nd this isn't fixed up.

1) I completed a not░ble update to the Guide recently. One of the biggest ch░nges was fixing up th░t history section based on my memory ░nd picking the brains of ░ few other people. I ░dded more about l░yers, particul░rly given those seem more relevant now? But if ░nyone is seeing something obviously missing there or I got something wrong, ple░se point it out. No use getting everyone mixed up bec░use I was.

2) However ░s I was upd░ting the guide I re░lized I didn't ░ctually know ░ll of what went down in Febru░ry and how it went down. I know the rough gist of wh░t you guys who were in the city did, and of course I h░ve my own experiences in Mag░tus to dr░w on, but does ░nyone who w░s in Pesgare, Bosum░, or Respatrum w░nt to tell me wh░t you saw ░nd did or link me to some write up? actu░lly prob░bly same for people in the city. Th░t confusion on my p░rt's why that's bl░nk.

3) I'm no expert on this stuff ░nd so if anyone's got some section they think ought to be rewritten or ░dded to, feel free to shoot the re-write or the new section my w░y and I'll ░dd it. It's alre░dy prob░bly l░cking for some insights on piecing together things from the l░st few months.

Honestly, any insight would be nice? Go for it! I don't even know what the gist of what happened there was, other than someone from there sent out group a myth midway through.

Right. Very briefly, somebody was using the special facilities there to craft something extremely dangerous for an order made by a still-unknown buyer. In the end, four groups of us needed to spring four parts of a trap, which eventually caught the culprit.

But we needed to build some goodwill and trust with the local folk before we could get there.

So we don't have any insights on the buyer? What was being made? And how did that relate to that story we got about the regions being ripped apart by magic weapons?

There's no information on the buyer, but the item was a legendary staff that could split apart worlds and eliminate reality entirely. So it kind of seems to be tying into that story directly.

Oh wow.

Okay, so that's the crux of the mission, stopping the sale?

[ Yeah, they kind of got some briefing. ]

It was commissioned three years ago or so, then he got a taste of what it could do and started making one for himself.

Wait so there's two of them?

... A whole write up would be nice if you think you can make it sound professional or at least complete.

Not if the answers that the Elders got were correct - he said that the original staff was destroyed.

I'll do my best.

How much detail do you want of what led to the findings, or should I focus on the end result of the whole expedition?

However much you want, but I can tell you that getting the major beats and the steps along the way might be good to know. You can see the August write ups I've linked on there - some are more complete than others.

I think you're overestimating my writing skills by thinking I can pick up on 'beats' but I'll do my best.

Just think of it like some report, I'm sure anyone can manage it.

Derek and I ran across some information last month. We're still trying to compile all of it in an organized fashion for sharing purposes though.

Well shoot it over when you're done? But what's the gist?

Stuff about the Founders and their families, creepy stuff about souls, information on layers. I think what we found on layers is pretty similar to what the Bosuma group found back in February, according to Derek.

Where did you find this? I also don't know what the Bosuma group found.

The library. There was some sort of storage room Zee gave us directions to.

Derek was in the Bosuma group, so I can't really give an account of what they found either, other than it was about the layers.

Oh, and there's a swamp witch out there. So I am NEVER going to visit that place.

Was it the memories of your life? I'm so used to people forgetting their other self's memories that is threw me for a bit of a loop when he seemed to have forgotten his own life.

Mmmhm, I forgot my memories of this life I've lived here. It was ... weird.

Did you also have to complete some sort of task before you could get your memories back?

Yeah, I did.

I had to assist someone else with finishing up theirs.

Huh. So the tasks were different. My friend had to tell someone else about his memories.

The man I helped out didn't actually tell me what he had to do, but I'm sure it wasn't the same.

So everyone had their memories screwed with, but received different tasks in order to have them restored.

I wonder if anyone failed to complete the task the witch gave them.

No idea. Maybe? There was a deadline too.

How much time were you given?

Wow, my memory of that is fuzzy.

I completed it in a day.

Memories are complicated things as we well know.

So, given there was a deadline, it's entirely possible some people didn't meet it.

Which is a concerning though.

Yeah. The deal was to get your memories and name back. I guess without completing it you probably lost both.

you mean besides finding that stuff about layers?
we found out bosuma has dryads, satyrs, centaurs
it’s like a regular greek myth out there
...which, now that i think about it, is probably why they sent me there instead of the other regions
there's no way that was a coincidence

Oh, was that you guys? I just heard about it at that village meeting and from Carlisle and such. Did I miss anything?

But huh, really? What were you guys managing out there, myth negotiations?

well we found this one diagram of the layer thing, if you want it?
it had, like, really basic descriptions of some of them
the rest were unlabeled though

and there were a couple vials of this weird smoke
one was pink, the other one was black
you’re probably better off asking the ones who took them to zee about that though
i don’t actually know what they were

we might as well have been! we had to get diplomatic with the dryads and everything
but i think the satyrs were just there for a good time

Oh! That sort of diagram would be really useful actually! I've mostly worked off inference for my write up there in the guide. If you have even a picture of it, sending it over would be nice.

But huh, vials of smoke...? Who was involved with that, if you could point me the right way?
