ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS

So, there are plenty of people who own their own businesses around here! What's the biggest hurdle in owning a small business? Prices? Supply and demand? WRONG. ADVERTISING!! Not everyone has the skills to make an eye-catching ad to grab in those sweet, sweet customers, so what are you to do? Do people even know what your business looks like? Would they be able to pick it out on a map? What about your products?? You can't just expect people to take your word for it, can you?! No!
So, that's where I come in! I, Keigo Higashino, am offering up my impressive photography skills to all of you business owners out there! Check it: that photo was taken last Spring at the lovely, historical and beautiful Shinjuku Gyoen Botanical Gardens by yours truly! Pretty good, right? Now, imagine your business taken with this divine camera I possess! You'd be raking patrons faster than ever!
Of course, my services are also available to those who might not own a business of their own yet, too! Aspiring actors, don't overpay at a studio when you could get top-notch quality headshots from me instead! Musicians, I'll gladly help you create some awesome cover art for your debut single! I'm here to help! Just shoot me a message if you're interested and we can work together to make you shine!
[ ooc; pretend this was posted at a decent time of day, i'm gomen ]

Keigo Higashino But I'm thinking that I'd probably charge somewhere in the range of $25 per shot!
Keigo Higashino Naturally, that's with post-editing included! What do you think?
no subject
Kasen Kaneda Shouldn't you be charging that per hour?
Kasen Kaneda Flat rates just seem a little exploitable.
no subject
Keigo Higashino Flat rates are just easier to maintain, plus it's worth it for building up a portfolio!

Kasen Kaneda Student or not, charging a flat rate just to guarantee work is only going to get you more cheap work in the end.
Kasen Kaneda Even as a student, you should at least be charging a proper working wage, like 12 to 15, unless it's for a student project.

Keigo Higashino It's different because I don't really have an expansive portfolio yet, so it's not like I have a lot to fall back on to justify charging more.
Keigo Higashino Plus, I don't really need the money to live off of, it's just spending cash.
Keigo Higashino Though, if you're that worried about it, I could definitely charge you more for whatever project you have in mind!

Kasen Kaneda The only justification you need for charging more is that all artists deserve a living wage for their art, regardless of how experienced they are.

How much to photograph an album/EP cover?
no subject
For that type of project, probably around $30-40, depending on how elaborate you need it to be!
