I do not seem adversely affected by the water.

I would also recommend plastic wrap.

i still have to use the old one
it still works but the harness doesn't fit into place very well any more
it keeps shifting when i move

the socket on my shoulder doesn't match the socket on any of the arms i have

Maybe I was misunderstanding how the earlier arms worked. Thought there was a little myloelectric power from where it connected to you?

But that sucks if they gave you the socket but nothing that fits it yet. We can probably find a way to rig up something waterproof.

what kind of waterproofing did you have in mind

No. I assumed that, given my other memories, water alone would not damage my robotic elements. Given what this gynoid into whom I am transforming has done, I doubted very much she would be injured by this.

However, this answer was funnier.

I was thinking silicone. We might be able to find or even make something large enough. If it's shaped to your shoulder, you'd be able to reuse the same thing, and silicone's stretchier so it'll conform and not just fall off.

If you wrap it around your torso half a dozen times, there's a better chance it'll stay. This is what I used in the hospital, though. Try that?

they're all a little small but i might be able to just use a bunch to cover the area of it
do they really stay on or are they waterproof the same way bandaids are waterproof

Yeah, usually wounds aren't that big, so the sizes don't get that large. It... stayed on well enough, for me at least. Can you manage a five minute shower?
