Has anyone else found themselves falling in love with someone in those memories we all get? That might feel a little extreme, but the face has been sticking with me for a while now.

You're right, though, and it's probably better that way. Retrospec gives us a lot of things we don't want, but they can't force us to have feelings for someone that we don't want to.

Well, they can't force us to do very much, other than to give us medical conditions. After all, what feelings I've gotten.... they can't work with the live I've lived.

It's possible that's just the 'finding someone you had feelings for' thing.
[But medical conditions... it makes him think of Mio, and he can't help but tense at that. Saying 'unless the medical conditions force you to kill someone' would be a breech of her privacy, no doubt.]
What do you mean by that, though? The feelings not working for the life you've had.
Ah-- if you don't mind me asking, of course.

That woman suffered an Earth shattering tragedy when she was young. Something that colored her entire life, and because of that, she always hated humans, just as a species. That can't jive with the fact that I've lived my whole life as a human. Short of my memories of this life I've lived fading, it's impossible to understand those feelings entirely.
