Has everyone's day been pleasant? I hope so. Isn't it kind of the city to refresh itself and shed all the work we put into it? It's such a nice view to wake up to after these past few weeks.

On the other hand, did anyone else receive a bright red surprise at midnight that didn't disappear after waking up today? If you have a new possibly anxiety-inducing timer that you can't remove, shall we have a pop quiz? Or a poll?

What are we counting down to?

A) the end of the month
B) the end of the world
C) the time until you find your soulmate
D) provide your own answer. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

(If anyone makes a Europe reference, you're dead to me. :) )

In what way do you think this is from an enemy?

Yeah, I'm not really convinced of A either.

But I doubt anyone who is going to destroy the world is going to make a huge announcement about it and literally make it impossible for us to forget.

I don't really think Retrospec is in any position to screw around with us. If they can't even send a message right, how can they pull this off?

If it is from their enemy though, and they KNOW we are supposed to be assets to them or w/e...well, they might get to Retrospec, but screwing with us...worst case, we all die and can't come back.

I'm confused. You just said choice A was the more realistic choice for you. Why are you changing your mind?

Have you read up on what the Retrospec project is? I think that would help you formulate a more informed theory because we're not so much as assets as random souls they managed to save from broken and destroyed worlds, if the information collected is to be believed.

Cause I didn't really like A to begin with...but didn't think B or C were right either.

So that just leaves shooting stuff around till something makes sense.

I sorta read some of it, if one soul is alive from that world they can bring it back right?

If they could use us to bring entire worlds back, then they could have a whole world to plunder for w/e they want. Maybe trade or just steal. Sort of my ongoing thought on it, at least it would make sense as to why they would bother reviving us if we died.

... Why is your first thought that they'd plunder it? If a whole world is brought back, that would come with its population, wouldn't it? It wouldn't be that easy.

Didn't stop Columbus from conquering the "new world" for gold and stuff.

Can you imagine how much resources and entire WORLD could provide? How much money could be in there?

Now given how there are plenty of rotten people in our world, I don't think they would hesitate to try to scam, murder and steal from whoever we happen to "save".

Who are you claiming to be part of your "we"? Who are you claiming to be part of your "they"?

Where your argument falls apart is that any of these worlds that have yet to be restored, someone here likely remembers it and knows it in their memories. Yes, there are rotten people everywhere, but whether it's Retrospec or some unknown entity in opposition of Retrospec, do you really think they have the resources to that when Retrospec is in error mode right now but Retrospec has yet to be fully taken down?

"we" us, the freaking lab rats that are used to open up other worlds.

"they" Retrospec, their opponent, Mr.Crazyfancypants, whoever is tugging the strings in the back and would get the money or soul gas or w/e later when the dust settles after this war is done and they have a chance to rebuild.

or who knows, maybe their opponent is losing and is killing us off to be a pain in Retrospec's ass and force them to consume their resources out of spite.

I doubt anyone knows how souls truly work or how it can be capitalized because it'd be a smoother process, if someone did.

Sorry...just...frustrated about...everything.

One moment I'm just minding my own business, the next...well, all this happens and practically everyone I know doesn't remember me or thinks I'm crazy.

And yeah...that would make sense. It would be a waste of money if they entire soul process wasn't efficent.

What I was trying to say, was I think whatever these timers are, might be linked to whatever fight Retrospec is in. I don't know how, but I'm not exactly optimistic about what it could mean.

We don't have enough information to make supported conjectures, so it's all wild guesses.

For all it could be, it could end up being nothing in end. That's another possible scenario.

That is true, but sometimes ya get fun conspiracy theories out of wild guesses though.

I prefer theories grounded on some basis of logic.

I don't recall a game like that. I also haven't heard of the latter either.

Oh...heard of memory changes then? Other then memories about our other selves anyway?
