Has everyone's day been pleasant? I hope so. Isn't it kind of the city to refresh itself and shed all the work we put into it? It's such a nice view to wake up to after these past few weeks.

On the other hand, did anyone else receive a bright red surprise at midnight that didn't disappear after waking up today? If you have a new possibly anxiety-inducing timer that you can't remove, shall we have a pop quiz? Or a poll?

What are we counting down to?

A) the end of the month
B) the end of the world
C) the time until you find your soulmate
D) provide your own answer. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

(If anyone makes a Europe reference, you're dead to me. :) )

Yeah, I'm not really convinced of A either.

But I doubt anyone who is going to destroy the world is going to make a huge announcement about it and literally make it impossible for us to forget.

I don't really think Retrospec is in any position to screw around with us. If they can't even send a message right, how can they pull this off?

If it is from their enemy though, and they KNOW we are supposed to be assets to them or w/e...well, they might get to Retrospec, but screwing with us...worst case, we all die and can't come back.

well, no

but it's an educated guess
based on how often some new weirdness affects the city, which tends to come in monthly increments
most of the time, anyway.

so maybe it's both a and b? end of the world as of the end of the month
and then c, everyone finds their soulmate, or realizes they've found their soulmate, come the new month too thanks to any additional weirdness.
but then it's end of the world anyway, so that wouldn't matter much for long.

There can be multiple right answers and multiple wrong answers. We don't know which the correct answer is.

Normally I'd pick 'A,' since the timer would coincide to the end of this month!

But it seems really weird to have a timer on our hand for something like that! I mean, I can keep track of my days without having that!

A isn't incorrect, but it isn't the most correct answer for the question I want answered.

We all have a calendar of some sort, so I doubt Retrospec is trying to insult our intelligence that much. I imagine something will happen at the turn of the month. It's just a matter of what.

Sarcasm is a little stronger than my intention. If the information gathered is to believed, we're all soulmates in some way. We were all souls lucky enough to be collected after our worlds were destroyed.

To what ends are we to cooperate?
