I've gotten a vague recollection of a whole lot of fire over the last while but to be honest the last two months are a blur to me. I've gotten a lot of things fixed up in my personal life but it feels like I've scarcely had a real conversation in all that time?

Sneaking suspicion my hair went back to brown, but I'm not dead certain there either!

Anyway its [ insert address here - in a rich area of Viea Village, it's a manor on the top of a forested hill with a winding drive up ]

[Al looked at the address a few times just to make sure he got the right place. Thanks to his super speed, he made it there in record time

She wasn't kidding when she said "manor", cause who the hell really lives in one of those now in days anyway?

He knocks on the front door and looks like this, a small ring of fire is floating directly behing Al]

Hey Elda! Told ya I can come here quick!

[ She wasn't. But then, there's also no response at the door? There's some sounds of bats (not that he'll necessarily know what that sounds like) on the other side of the door, but Elda herself? Yeah she's not answered. ]

[The high pitches squeaks set Al a bit on edge...Al then knocks on the door harder]

ELDA?! IT'S AL! You okay in there?!

[ Alas, there is still no response? Mostly because she can't... really respond... ]

[Al looks around and is anxious...did something happen to her?]

[Al focuses on his sword and turns it into his knife and turns the knob first to see if it's unlocked...if not, he will use his knife, that can cut or burn almost anything, slice the bolt keeping the door closed so he can let himself in and look for her.]

[ The manor itself does indeed have a locked door! And the interior doesn't have lights on. Or well, it does? But they're dim and red as opposed to anything near bright. There's no response still but

[Al cuts slices the lock to open the door, the red lights freak him out, something REALLY bad could be happening!

The small ring of fire that follows Al, lights the place up a bit when he is inside.

He speed walks around to try to find Elda...she said she wanted help to get in the kitchen...maybe she got there on her own? Or maybe might be near it.

She couldn't be hurting that bad could she?]

[ She made it to the stairs on the second floor of the manor, so ... not all that near the kitchen honestly. That said, she also does not look herself at all. She's visibly about ninety years old at this point - withered and frail looking because of the fact she's not managed to get blood.

That said, that busting his way in causes the bats to hiss at him, especially because of the light source now spilling out in their manor!!

But they will also try to lead him in there. towards her. ]

[Al glares at the bats...especially when they hiss at him.

Which makes Al suddenly think about some serious vampire vibes.

It WAS at the back of his mind since he got there but...surely...there might be SOME other explanation as to why there is bats, in a manor no one bothers living in.

Okay so maybe it IS vampires, but it's still Elda right?]

[And to imply he can back up his threat, the ring behind him grows brighter still before going back down. Before following them up the stairs, if Elda is a vampire, maybe these are her bats? If there is ANOTHER vampire here...well, he would have to take of the other vampire first right?

Even if burning a vampire doesn't kill it...it should hurt enough...right?]

[ The bats don't respond because they are, well... bats. But they are leading him to their mistress, something she's aware of is happening because she hears him... and smells him. Her eyes, shifted to red and cat-like look up at him, seeming a lot sharper than her collapsed form (face down on the ground in addition to her aged experience) would otherwise imply. The bats surround her, and she groans out something like, ]

At least -- let me give you the instruction. Golly.

[He said with sadness, kind of regretting threatening the bats and then...of course his impulsive brain comes up with something]

So...super unrelated question...do you have names for all of them?

Though more importantly, what kind of vampire are ya?

[ She grumbles that out, pressing her face into the floor. She groans a little at that. It's too many questions while she's... just... you know, old and like this. ]

[Oh, yeah...shit, he should have picked up on the super weak thing.

Al just goes to her and slowly but gently picks her up.

His body might be a little too hot, since he is using the ring behind him as a source of light.]

I got ya...I told you I was going to help...I just...sorry...I'll shut up.

[ She hopes. She tries to sound more comforting than curt, but... ]

[Considering her condition, he slowly takes his time going down the stairs carrying her to the kitchen.]
