I've gotten a vague recollection of a whole lot of fire over the last while but to be honest the last two months are a blur to me. I've gotten a lot of things fixed up in my personal life but it feels like I've scarcely had a real conversation in all that time?
Sneaking suspicion my hair went back to brown, but I'm not dead certain there either!
Hi sure I've missed a lot. Anyone want to help me get to my kitchen I suddenly look ninety and feel sicker than a dog.
[ ... And despite the proper texting she might have collapsed on the upper floors of her house oops. ]

I have a bit of a problem with it but I can get there super quick to help out.
So you don't remember anything about silver doors, or clones this month?
no subject
Yeah no, my mind's a blank there? How much magic do you need to work kitchen stuff?
no subject
So if you see a lot of "twins" running around...chances are they are clones.
I guess not much? I do want to try to see if I can use my fire to do those fancy little touches some chiefs use a blow torch for....one day.

Sides, I guess I could participate in plenty of insurance fraud, but that would be super shady
[Not that Al WOULDN'T do it, but he is going to play this one off as a joke.]
no subject
anyway
you know my address right
no subject
Anything you want me to bring?
no subject
i can't tell from here
Anyway its [ insert address here - in a rich area of Viea Village, it's a manor on the top of a forested hill with a winding drive up ]
A few minutes later...
She wasn't kidding when she said "manor", cause who the hell really lives in one of those now in days anyway?
He knocks on the front door and looks like this, a small ring of fire is floating directly behing Al]
Hey Elda! Told ya I can come here quick!
no subject
no subject
ELDA?! IT'S AL! You okay in there?!
no subject
no subject
Please don't hate me...
[Al focuses on his sword and turns it into his knife and turns the knob first to see if it's unlocked...if not, he will use his knife, that can cut or burn almost anything, slice the bolt keeping the door closed so he can let himself in and look for her.]
no subject
yes, locked.
he can totally rip it open if he wants ]
no subject
The small ring of fire that follows Al, lights the place up a bit when he is inside.
He speed walks around to try to find Elda...she said she wanted help to get in the kitchen...maybe she got there on her own? Or maybe might be near it.
She couldn't be hurting that bad could she?]
no subject
That said, that busting his way in causes the bats to hiss at him, especially because of the light source now spilling out in their manor!!
But they will also try to lead him in there. towards her. ]
no subject
Which makes Al suddenly think about some serious vampire vibes.
It WAS at the back of his mind since he got there but...surely...there might be SOME other explanation as to why there is bats, in a manor no one bothers living in.
Okay so maybe it IS vampires, but it's still Elda right?]
You make a move for my blood and I will cook every single one of you...painfully.
[And to imply he can back up his threat, the ring behind him grows brighter still before going back down. Before following them up the stairs, if Elda is a vampire, maybe these are her bats? If there is ANOTHER vampire here...well, he would have to take of the other vampire first right?
Even if burning a vampire doesn't kill it...it should hurt enough...right?]
no subject
At least -- let me give you the instruction. Golly.
no subject
You...you weren't joking
[He said with sadness, kind of regretting threatening the bats and then...of course his impulsive brain comes up with something]
So...super unrelated question...do you have names for all of them?
Though more importantly, what kind of vampire are ya?
Since that is kinda obvious now.
no subject
[ She grumbles that out, pressing her face into the floor. She groans a little at that. It's too many questions while she's... just... you know, old and like this. ]
no subject
Al just goes to her and slowly but gently picks her up.
His body might be a little too hot, since he is using the ring behind him as a source of light.]
I got ya...I told you I was going to help...I just...sorry...I'll shut up.
no subject
Just. Got stuff in the kitchen.
[ She hopes. She tries to sound more comforting than curt, but... ]
no subject
Okay, kitchen we go then...
[he said warmly...litterally he got warmer.]
Here we are, so, what are we looking for?
no subject
no subject
no its definitely mostly that
no subject
[The library isn't a super short walk from Elda's house, alas. And her driveway probably takes a full two minutes to walk up.]
no subject
The key is buried in the bushes im on the second floor
action
[About fifteen minutes after his previous message, Shuji arrives. He finds the key fairly quickly (considering the 'hidden' and 'dark' things) and enters, going right up stairs.
You still on the floor, Elda?]
no subject
She also looks a lot older, visibly frail and wrinkled and like she forewarned, easily looking ninety years old. She's been dehydrated of blood as far as he system is concerned and as a result she barely feels strong enough to move. She's collapsed here on the ground with a half dozen bats flicking around her while her fingers are gnarled on her phone here on the ground next to her. As Shuji comes in and up the bats do turn to hiss at him, but Elda waves a hand and lifts her head blearily to groan at him. The light are also on brighter than she'd like right now, but at least the lighting is still red? her son's at school, at least?
For her part, she waves weakly at him. ]
no subject
Well.]
Elda!
[He hurries to kneel beside her, barely remembering to flick off the lightswitch before he does so.]
What happened? How can I help you? I-I'm sorry I should've picked up blood from somewhere-
[Since he has none of his own to offer, which is clearly the worst part of having ink for blood.]
no subject
[ About his blood, that is. The minute he came in the manor she both heard it and some bats had followed him. But that was met with the fact that she got his distinctly odd smell. Curling up a little to try to sit up more (she finds she had no upper body strength, ugh) she groans. ]
There's some in the kitchen. Probably.
[ Unless she threw it out while she forgot...? she's not sure. ]
no subject
Do you usually have it in the fridge?
no subject
... Yeah I did. I... yes.
[ Her son questioned it sometimes, but never for long, and never that pronounced. She hopes it is there. If not, she...
Well.
It's probably there. ]
no subject
Right now there isn't anything to do but open the fridge and hope.
And behind door number one is...?]
no subject
Do you need help? I can get there quick, or I can get emergency services if you need it?
no subject
emegency services will make it complicated though probably
no subject
It is, right now.
no subject
no wonder the bats
the key is in the bushes next to the door
no subject
He calls out when he enters, on instinct. "Elda?"
Even though she probably knew the second he entered. Maybe even before he entered.
no subject
But more importantly, in the dimly lit (and with red lights) manor, she smells him. And his blood. That's what alerts her more than anything that he's here, and it causes her to rise up to at least her knees on instinct. She feels incredibly off base right now, her body having not consumed blood in at least a month, maybe two. Maybe she had been human in that time? Who knows, either way, right now...?
She visibly looks closer to ninety years old than not. Thin, gaunt, wrinkled. But she's still got some energy at least as he instincts are kicking in. She'll try to repress them when she sees the man, but her eyes have gone a little catlike as she tries to get herself composed.
no subject
"Elda?"
He comes to a sudden stop when he spots Elda, gasping audibly at the sight of her. But it only freezes him in place for a moment. Questions and explanations can come later. He takes a deep breath in, steeling himself, before he moves to her side.
"Elda," voice so gentle, as a hand, pulse pounding beneath the skin of the wrist, reaches out for her. He scoops her up to support her (why is she still so light?) and draws her in close. Too close, that heart beat is louder, and coming a touch faster as Togusa anticipates the risk he is putting himself under.
If they hadn't done this before, he might be more cautious. But as soon as he realized what was wrong, he prepared himself for being needed.
"It's okay."
no subject
-- that anything.
She can't think. All she can do now is follow the instinct of her body, to latch her fangs wherever she can. She goes for the neck first just because, again, instinct.
no subject
It's a physical rush. The body responding to a threat, he knows it, but in the moment, it is the sensation of a strike of lightning dissipating away into cool water flowing through all of him. Flowing out of him. For a few precious seconds, it is just the connection between them. Even Togusa's mind has such a hard time coming up with a description for this, which is a sign that his over-analytic mind is, for once, quieting.
Togusa has enough control to ease the both of them back down to the ground, so gently, expecting that Elda will regain her strength, one beat of his heart at a time. He trusts her. Even in her state, he has an implicit trust that she will still stop herself.
no subject
Well, the moment seems to last a long time, her fangs deep into his neck. But eventually, mercifully, she breaks the contact, licking her lips as she sort of collapses into his arms. She doesn't feel fully sated but she at least feels somewhat stronger. More aware.
But this marks a second time she...
no subject
"Elda," when he feels up to speaking again. He shifts a hand to make contact with hers, a small reassurance.
"Are you all right?"
