I've gotten a vague recollection of a whole lot of fire over the last while but to be honest the last two months are a blur to me. I've gotten a lot of things fixed up in my personal life but it feels like I've scarcely had a real conversation in all that time?

Sneaking suspicion my hair went back to brown, but I'm not dead certain there either!

Hi sure I've missed a lot. Anyone want to help me get to my kitchen I suddenly look ninety and feel sicker than a dog.

[ ... And despite the proper texting she might have collapsed on the upper floors of her house oops. ]

Elda?

Do you need help? I can get there quick, or I can get emergency services if you need it?

That kind of help. Hang on, I'm on my way.

It is, right now.

Togusa is quick to arrive. He's never been inside Elda's place before, but of course he had noticed when the whole manor had just appeared in town. It's bigger than he thought. Save being impressed for later, find Elda now.

He calls out when he enters, on instinct. "Elda?"

Even though she probably knew the second he entered. Maybe even before he entered.

The bats startle Togusa for a second, before he remembers who he's dealing with. All the vampire powers, and that's the one that he'll never get used to. He follows upstairs, taking the stairs two at a time.

"Elda?"

He comes to a sudden stop when he spots Elda, gasping audibly at the sight of her. But it only freezes him in place for a moment. Questions and explanations can come later. He takes a deep breath in, steeling himself, before he moves to her side.

"Elda," voice so gentle, as a hand, pulse pounding beneath the skin of the wrist, reaches out for her. He scoops her up to support her (why is she still so light?) and draws her in close. Too close, that heart beat is louder, and coming a touch faster as Togusa anticipates the risk he is putting himself under.

If they hadn't done this before, he might be more cautious. But as soon as he realized what was wrong, he prepared himself for being needed.

"It's okay."

At the last instant, Togusa even tilts his chin up, ever so slightly. Getting out of her way. His mouth opens, but the startled cry is cut off in favor of a deep sigh. Just as he told her, it's okay.

It's a physical rush. The body responding to a threat, he knows it, but in the moment, it is the sensation of a strike of lightning dissipating away into cool water flowing through all of him. Flowing out of him. For a few precious seconds, it is just the connection between them. Even Togusa's mind has such a hard time coming up with a description for this, which is a sign that his over-analytic mind is, for once, quieting.

Togusa has enough control to ease the both of them back down to the ground, so gently, expecting that Elda will regain her strength, one beat of his heart at a time. He trusts her. Even in her state, he has an implicit trust that she will still stop herself.

The two of them almost collapse into each other, as Togusa sags some from his own feeling of exertion. His head is floating for seconds stretching on, and he breathes deep to try to bring feeling back to himself. He drags himself slightly to lean on the nearest wall, keeping his head upright. He remembers, he'll be feeling amazing shortly.

"Elda," when he feels up to speaking again. He shifts a hand to make contact with hers, a small reassurance.

"Are you all right?"
